A method, comprising contacting a proppant, water, and a water external emulsion to form a mixture, wherein the water external emulsion has an organic internal phase comprising a surface modifying agent; contacting the mixture with an emulsion breaker to form a wellbore servicing fluid comprising a proppant coated with the surface modifying agent; an placing the wellbore servicing fluid in a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation. A method comprising contacting a proppant, water, and a water external emulsion to form a first mixture, wherein the water external emulsion has an organic internal phase comprising a surface modifying agent; contacting the first mixture with an emulsion breaker to form second mixture comprising a proppant coated with the surface modifying agent; and recovering a coated proppant from the second mixture.

Wet-coated proppant and methods of making and using same

Methods including introducing a first treatment fluid comprising a first aqueous base fluid and a chelating etching agent into a low-permeability subterranean formation comprising carbonate material having a first fracture network at a first treatment interval therein, wherein the first fracture network comprises a first main fracture and a first microfracture. The method further comprises placing the chelating etching agent in the first fracture network and reacting it with the carbonate material in the first fracture network. In certain embodiments, the reacting removes the carbonate material, thereby creating at least one conductive channel on a face of the first fracture network. The method further comprises introducing a second treatment fluid comprising a second aqueous base fluid and micro-sized proppant particulates into the low-permeability subterranean formation and placing the micro-sized proppant particulates into the first fracture network to form a partial monolayer in the first microfracture.

Chelating etching agent stimulation and proppant stabilization of low-permeability subterranean formations

Proppant-free channels may be formed in a proppant pack in subterranean formations by using the miscibility and immiscibility of proppant-laden and proppant-free fluids. For example, a method of forming a proppant pack may include: introducing, in alternating order, a proppant-laden fluid and a proppant-free fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, wherein the proppant-laden fluid comprises an oil-external emulsion and a proppant, and wherein the proppant-free fluid is immiscible with the proppant-laden fluid; and forming a proppant pack in a fracture in the subterranean formation, wherein the proppant pack comprises proppant-laden clusters and proppant-free channels.

Systems and methods for treating subterranean formations using deagglomerated inorganic clay particles are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: providing a treatment fluid that comprises a base fluid, a consolidating agent, and a deagglomerated inorganic clay particle; introducing the treatment fluid into at least a portion of a subterranean formation so as to contact unconsolidated particles within the subterranean formation with the treatment fluid; and allowing the consolidating agent and the deagglomerated inorganic clay particle to consolidate at least a portion of the unconsolidated particulates in the portion of the subterranean formation.

A fracturing fluid and method of including a cellulose polymer derivative, a diol functional group, and a borate crosslinker. The diol functional group may be a cis-diol functional group, a 1,2-diol functional group, or a 1,3-diol functional group. The cellulose polymer derivative further may include a hydroxyethyl group or a hydroxypropyl group. The fracturing fluid may also include at least one metallic crosslinker. The method may also include the steps of adding a pH adjusting agent, at least one breaker, a surfactant, a scale inhibitor, and/or a bactericide to the fracturing fluid, or mixing the fracturing fluid using mixing equipment or wherein the fracturing fluid is introduced into a subterranean formation using one or more pumps.

Various embodiments disclosed relate to compositions for treating a subterranean formation and methods of using same, such as for consolidation. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation, the method including obtaining or providing a composition. The composition includes an aryl component including at least one of an aryldicarboxylic acid, an ester thereof, a salt thereof, and an acid halide thereof. The composition includes an amine or epoxide component that includes at least one of component A and component B. Component A is a linear diepoxide, a poly(alkylamine), or a combination thereof. Component B is an alkoxy- or hydroxy-substituted silane including an epoxy group, an alkoxy- or hydroxy-substituted silane including an amine group, or a combination thereof. The method also includes placing the composition in a subterranean formation.

Consolidating composition for treatment of a subterranean formation

Methods of treating a subterranean formation comprising placing a treatment fluid comprising a base fluid, proppant particulates, a consolidating agent, a thermoplastic material, and a degradable polyester material into the subterranean formation; coating the proppant particulates and the consolidating agent with the thermoplastic material and the degradable polyester material together so as to form proppant pillars; and degrading the degradable polyester material.

The methods include providing a thermal thinning resistant treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid, proppant particulates, and a thermally activated suspending agent, wherein the thermally activated suspending agent is hydratable above a threshold temperature. The thermal thinning resistant treatment fluid is introduced into the subterranean formation and exceeds the threshold temperature so as to hydrate the thermally activated suspending agent.
