A computer implemented method for generating query results includes generating by a computer processor, a training model through artificial intelligence. The training model is based on annotated data. A knowledge base for a subject matter is generated based on the training model. The knowledge base is based on content from document sources related to the subject matter. A natural language query input is received. An intent and requirements for satisfying the intent is inferred by the computer processor. The knowledge base is referenced to extract information related to the intent and requirements, from documents in the knowledge base. Relationships between the extracted information and the requirements are correlated from the documents in the knowledge base. Query results are displayed to the user. The query results are based on the correlated relationships.

Artificial intelligence based materials discovery building from documents and recommendations

A method and federated publish/subscribe system for data transfer in the federated publish/subscribe system. The federated publish/subscribe system includes a processor, a first message broker, and a second message broker. The second message broker transmits, via the processor, a message A to a first subscribing application and a message (A+&#x394;) to a second subscribing application. The message (A+&#x394;) differs from the message A by changes &#x394;. The first subscribing application and the second subscribing application are different subscribing applications. Prior to the transmitting by the second message broker, the second message broker receives, from the first message broker via the processor, either (i) a message (A, &#x394;) comprising the message A and the changes &#x394; or (ii) the message A and a message &#x394; comprising the changes &#x394;.

Data transfer in a federated publish/subscribe system

Mechanisms are provided for generating a composite service. A request to generate the composite service is received that identifies a geospatial region of interest for the composite service. One or more types of components needed to generate the composite service are determined and, for each component of a plurality of components of the one or more types of components, a corresponding spatial coverage characteristic is determined. A subset of components, from the plurality of components, is selected based on the spatial coverage characteristics of the plurality of components and the geospatial region of interest. The composite service is then generated based on the selected subset of components from the plurality of components.

Providing a sensor composite service based on operational and spatial constraints

Methods and systems are provided, for persistent querying in a federated database system. A federated database system has a plurality of connectable database management system nodes, each database node having at least one database. Persistent querying includes: receiving a query at a first database node and propagating the query from the first database node to other database nodes in the federated database system. A responding database node satisfying the query: obtains a query results set; defines a topic identifier for the query; and publishes subsequent messages relating to the topic identifier when data updates are available. The first database node receives query results sets from one or more responding nodes and the first database node subscribes to topic identifiers for publications of subsequent messages from the responding database nodes. Subsequent messages are published relating to the query along the connection through which the query is returned.

Persistent querying in a federated database system

An apparatus for enabling connections for use with a network comprising at least one vertex, the apparatus comprising: a receiver, for receiving a first message associated with the first vertex, wherein the first message comprises an indication that the first vertex wishes to join the network; a generator, responsive to receipt of the first message, for generating a second message associated with the at least one vertex, wherein the second message comprising an indication that the at least one vertex is operable to connect to the first vertex; and a probabilistic component for determining a first time value associated with transmission of the second message to the first vertex in accordance with probabilistic data.
