An automatic fill system includes a tank, a transfer hose, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly has a first end having an outlet orifice configured to be received within the tank. The valve assembly also includes a second end configured to be connected in fluid communication with the transfer hose with the second end having an inlet orifice. The valve assembly also includes at least one fluid passageway between the inlet orifice and the outlet orifice, and a check valve coupled to a spring and a seal. The seal is configured to be slidably moveable within a piston chamber. The valve assembly further includes a heating element located within a heating element chamber and configured to heat the valve assembly. Finally, the valve assembly includes a jet level sensor with a sensor inlet and a sensor outlet. The jet level sensor is in fluid communication with the piston chamber.

Automatic fill system

A quick disconnect incorporates a male component (nipple) and a female component (socket) that cooperate to form the fluid tight coupling. The nipple at the mating end includes at the outer surface a stepped end forming first and second diameters that are inserted into the socket. The socket includes first and second sleeves, where only the precise stepped end will fit through the sleeves and open the valve of the coupling. The internal fluid path remains identical across all variations of the stepped end and mating sleeves, and many different variations of the quick disconnect valve can be constructed with only minor changes to the stepped end and sleeves.

Quick disconnect coupling with selective mating capability

A non-pressurized fluid level shutoff system for a fuel tank includes a fuel receiver having a flow control valve that opens in a direction opposite a direction of fuel flow, and that cannot be manually overridden. A fuel sensor funnels fuel through a fuel jet outlet orifice to form a stream of fuel across a cutout section, and a supplemental peripheral port connected between an outlet orifice mixing chamber and the interior of the tank is oriented perpendicular to the stream of fuel across the cutout section, to interfere with the stream of fuel when the sensor is submerged in fuel in the tank, to further reduce any residual fluid flow signal when the sensor is fully submerged, allowing the flow control valve in the receiver to close completely.

Non-pressurized fluid level shutoff for fuel tank

A clamping method and apparatus including two halves of a clamp mated at a first end. The two halves are pivotally connected at a second end. The present invention is configured to permit the device to be repeatedly used without extended wear.
