A battery wheel assembly is disclosed that includes a wheel having an axle for securement to a vehicle, the axle having a central axle axis extending therethrough, a wheel rim and interconnected wheel hub rotatable about the central axle axis. The battery wheel assembly further includes a battery pack that includes a carrier wreath secured to the wheel rim, and a plurality of battery cells electrically interconnected and secured to the carrier wreath.

A bicycle power system is disclosed that includes an axle for securement to a vehicle, the axle having a central axle axis extending therethrough, a wheel hub rotatable about the central axle axis and having a hub shell interconnected with a wheel rim, the hub shell including a shell side wall rotatably coupled to the axle, a shell top wall forming in part, a ring gear including inner ring gear teeth, and a shell cover having a cover wall radially extending from a stator carrier. The bicycle power system further includes a hub motor situated in the hub shell, the hub motor having a rotor with a plurality of magnets and a stator cavity, wherein the rotor rotates about the axle, a ring-shaped stator situated in the stator cavity and having an inner surface secured to the stator carrier, such that the stator rotates about the axle with the shell cover.

A combination for a bicycle includes a one-piece disc brake mount, and a chain stay that forms a portion of a frame of the bicycle. The mount includes: a first protrusion comprising a first elongated shape with a first centrally disposed through-hole; a second protrusion comprising a second elongated shape with a second centrally disposed through-hole; the second through-hole disposed parallel with and spatially apart from the first through-hole; and, an integrally formed web portion fixedly connecting the first protrusion with the second protrusion. The chain stay includes a continuous surface absent any discontinuities in an attachment area configured to receive the mount, wherein the mount is joinable with the chain stay at the attachment area.

One-piece disc brake mount for bicycle

A bicycle is provided having a unitary steering tube-crown member and a unitary crank arm-spindle member. A multistage aluminum 3D forging process is used to form the unitary members. This may allow the fabrication of components with substantially hollow interior areas to reduce weight, reduce part count while maintaining high strength and ductility. The multistage 3D forging process provided also allows the combination of multiple components into a single unitary part.

Unitary crown fork assembly and method of fabrication

A bicycle frame hinge is provided having a lower and upper portion. The lower and upper portions being movable with respect to each other in both translation and rotation when in a storage condition, and are locked with respect to each other to prevent both translation and rotation when in a riding condition. The lower and upper portions are configured to form an internal cable passage way when the bicycle frame is in the riding condition, and when the bicycle frame is in the storage condition. The lower portion comprises two interlocking features, and the upper portion comprises two interlocking features configured to engage with the interlocking features of the lower portion when the bicycle frame is in the riding condition. A clamping mechanism is disposed between the two interlocking features of the lower and upper portions, the clamping mechanism configured to clamp the upper and lower portions.

A bicycle is provided having a frame with a seat tube and a bottom bracket coupled to one end of the seat tube. A pedal crank shaft is operably coupled to the bottom bracket. A motor is coupled to the bottom bracket and operably coupled to the pedal crank shaft. A battery is removably coupled to the frame and electrically coupled to the motor. A seat having a seat post is removably coupled to the seat tube, wherein the battery is disposed to remain coupled to the frame when the seat post is removed. In another embodiment, a sleeve is positioned with in the seat tube and the seat post is slidingly disposed in the sleeve. In another embodiment, the bicycle includes a clamp having a plurality of clamp pads that engage the seat post to hold the seat in the desired position.

A bicycle frame includes a front section and a rear section. The front section includes a front frame portion having a front coupling configured to receive a front wheel support member and to allow rotation between the front coupling and the front wheel support member, the front frame portion defining a central vertical plane of the frame. The rear section includes a drive link case having an upper tube, a lower tube, a rear hub housing, and a front sprocket housing all integrally arranged with each other to form a rigid drive link case having an opening disposed between the upper and lower tubes, the drive link case being connected to the front frame portion via the front sprocket housing. The drive link case is disposed eccentric to the central vertical plane and is cantilevered rearward from the front sprocket housing. The front frame portion extends forward from the front sprocket housing.

A bottom bracket assembly for use on a bicycle, the assembly provided as a split bracket assembly with an upper portion formed integrally with the bicycle frame and a lower portion detachably connectable to the upper portion, the lower portion completely removable from the upper portion. The bottom bracket assembly provided to capture a crank shaft therein with associated bearings to facilitate the rotation of the crank shaft assembly.
