An electronic device concurrently displays a first user interface of first software and status information for an application that is different from the first software. The status information includes content of the application. As a state of the application changes, the device updates the content of the application displayed in the status information. In response to detecting an input corresponding to a request to display a different, second user interface of different, second software, while concurrently displaying the first user interface and a respective user interface object that includes the status information, the device ceases to display the first user interface and the respective user interface object, and displays the second user interface including content of the application, including, as the state of the application changes, updating the content of the application displayed in the second user interface, which includes information that is different from the status information.

In response to detecting the input and in accordance with a determination that the input meets second criteria, wherein the second criteria requires that the input includes movement in a first direction, display of the first user interface object is replaced with display of the second user interface object from the plurality of user interface objects associated with the placement location.

An electronic device displays a control user interface that includes a plurality of control affordances. The device detects a first input directed to a location that corresponds to a first control affordance, of the plurality of control affordances. And if the first input meets enhanced control criteria, the device displays modification options for the control that correspond to the first control affordance. An electronic device with a display detects a plurality of manual activations of a first mode on the electronic device. The first mode, while active, prevents output of notifications when communications of a first type are received. After detecting the plurality of manual activations of the first mode, the device automatically determines, based on the plurality of manual activations of the first mode, a set of conditions that correspond to manual activations of the first mode and outputs a suggestion for activation of the first mode at the electronic device. After outputting the suggestion, the device receives a response that accepts the suggestion for activation of the first mode. In response to receiving the response that accepts the suggestion, the device changes settings at the device that are associated with the first mode.

The present disclosure generally relates to viewing and updating application views. A device receives a user input, the input, when received initiating display of a plurality of application views of a set of application views. The device, in response to receiving the user input, displays the plurality of application views of the set of application views, wherein the set of application views includes preselected application views and an adaptive view that corresponds to a most recently opened application that is not one of the preselected application views.
