The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.

System and method for adapting a control function based on a user profile

A method is provided for optimizing the use of autonomous features of advanced driver assistance systems and the tracking thereof. For example, a vehicle may be equipped with several driver assistance systems in which a driver of the vehicle may be assisted. The vehicle may automatically change the number of active assistance systems or suggest to the driver one or more assistance systems to activate based on several factors, including poor driving on behalf of the driver or poor driving conditions due to weather or road quality. Statistics regarding the use of such advanced driver assistance systems may be monitored and tracked and stored on an onboard database or transmitted continuously or periodically to various entities. For example, the system may operate to allow an insurance company to track the driving performance and the use of the advanced driver assistance systems to update actuarial models to more accurately adjust rates.

Feedback performance control and tracking

The system cooperates with a processor and verification module which are adapted to verify, using one or more of biometric information, gesture recognition, facial recognition and device identification information, that a user has authority to access the one or more user profiles, where the one or more profiles are stored in one or more of a vehicle, a cloud and a communications device. A system for an improved control of data stream management in a vehicle, said system comprising: a media controller; a processor; a storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions; wherein the system is configured to: select at least a first input/output system to receive a packet payload by the media controller; determine an applicable rule set governing a destination input/output system and payload type; determine a current input/output system configuration; determine whether the payload can be provided to each of the destination input/output systems; detect a stimulus indicating that caching of media is to be performed; selectively cache the payload from the destination input/output system for future playback for an operator at the first destination input/output system or at another operator-specific input/output system by the media controller; and wherein the selective caching for future playback on operator-specific input/output system results in improved vehicular data stream management.
