An apparatus for destroying pathogens includes a platform and an LED matrix panel. The platform has a portion configured to permit passage of ultraviolet light therethrough. The LED matrix panel is disposed below the portion of the platform and includes a grid and a plurality of discreetly-controlled, ultraviolet light LEDs (UV LEDs). The grid defines a plurality of cells. Each UV LED is associated with one cell such that the cells direct the ultraviolet light emitted by the UV LEDs upwardly through the portion of the platform to sanitize an object supported on the portion of the platform.

System and apparatus thereof for destroying pathogens associated with footwear

A pet food device includes a pet food bowl supporting tray configured to support at least one pet food bowl, an actuating mechanism supporting tray, and an actuating mechanism disposed within the actuating mechanism supporting tray in operable communication with the pet food bowl supporting tray. A pet food device may also include as an actuating mechanism a scissor lift movable structure in operable communication with the pet food bowl supporting tray and with the actuating mechanism to cause elevating and lowering of the pet food bowl supporting tray.

A dental simulator includes a base and a platform connected to the base. The base has a first end, an opposing second end, and a longitudinal axis extending from the first end toward the second end. The platform has at least a first portion which is movably connected to the base. The first portion of the base also includes at least one actuator. The simulator further includes a torso support movably connected to the base and at least a first instrument holder movably connected to the base. At least the first portion of the platform, the torso support, and the first instrument holder are configured to move in unison with respect to the base along the longitudinal axis thereof.

The present disclosure relates to wiring terminations. Wiring terminations can be used in any suitable device such as a wiring device. The wiring termination is configured to selectively receive a distal end of a wire therein. The wire termination mechanism includes at least a first position for receiving the distal end of the wire, and a second position for terminating the distal end of the wire against the respective electrical contact upon an actuation thereof from the first position to the second position.

A portable substance identification system and method are configured to identify at least one detection target faster and with greater accuracy than is possible using prior substance identification systems and/or prior substance identification techniques. An embodiment of the portable substance identification system includes a portable substance identification device containing a Raman spectrometer, and a collection stem that includes a dry collector. One or more reservoirs for a liquid medium and/or a reagent can be formed in a cartridge that is configured to couple with a portable substance identification device. The cartridge has a chamber in which the reagent, liquid medium, and a detection target picked up by the dry collector are mixed. A magnet, positioned at a slant angle, can be used to form at least one pellet of aggregated magnetic particles within a pellet forming area of the chamber. The pellet is formed to maximize its surface area.

System and method for improved biodetection

A lighting system that includes a quick disconnect mounting feature that permits the relocation of the lighting fixture without rewiring or use of loose hardware. The lighting system is comprised of a housing that surrounds a power module and a control module, where the control module is electrically connected to a protocol module. A printed circuit board interface electrically connects the power module to the control module, and a light source is electrically connected to the PCB interface.
