A battery cooling plate includes a first plate and a second plate that are joined together at their respective edges, and are spaced apart to define a coolant volume therebetween. Turbulating inserts can be arranged side-by-side within the coolant volume and multiple rods can extend through the turbulating inserts to at least partially define flow barriers between coolant flow channels. A fluid manifold for the battery cooling plate includes a non-planar wall that extends along a length-wise direction of the fluid manifold to separate a fluid volume into a first portion and a second portion. A series of apertures are arranged along the length-wise direction and successive ones of the apertures are fluidly connected to the first portion and to the second portion in alternating sequence.

A plate assembly for a heat exchanger includes a first plate, a second plate, and an intermediate plate arranged between the first and second plates. The intermediate plate is joined to the first and second plates at peripheral edges to create a sealed periphery of the plate assembly. Corrugations of the intermediate plate provide crests and troughs that are in contact with inwardly facing surfaces of the first and second plates. The plate assembly can be configured as a battery cooling plate heat exchanger to transfer heat from a battery to fluid flowing through the plate assembly.

A heat exchanger for cooling a flow of compressed air using a liquid coolant includes a stack of coolant flow plates extending in a stacking direction. An enclosure surrounds the stack of coolant flow plates to at least partially define the flow path for the compressed air, and includes a first wall generally arranged in a plane parallel to the stacking direction, a second wall joined to the first wall and generally arranged in a second plane perpendicular to the stacking direction, a coolant port provided on an external surface of the first wall, an aperture provided on an internal surface of the second walls, and a coolant flow path extending through the interior of both the first wall and the second wall between the coolant port and the aperture.

Heat exchanger for cooling a flow of compressed air using a liquid coolant

A heat exchanger for cooling a flow of charge air includes a heat exchanger core that is inserted through an aperture of a housing. A leak-free seal is maintained along the periphery of the aperture by the compression of a gasket between a top plate of the heat exchanger core and a planar bearing surface of the housing. Compression of the gasket is maintained by one or more deformable retaining members that are disposed against the top plate.

Heat exchanger for cooling a flow of charge air, and method of assembling the same

An air intake manifold for an engine includes an air inlet to receive a flow of compressed charge air, and multiple runners to deliver cooled compressed charge air to corresponding combustion cylinders of the engine. A charge air cooler is arranged within the intake manifold between the air inlet and the runners, and includes a first core section and a second core section. The first and second core sections are arranged fluidly in parallel with respect to the flow of compressed charge air, so that the charge air is divided into a first portion that is substantially directed through the first core section to a first subset of the runners, and a second portion that is substantially directed through the second core section to a second subset of the runners.

Charge air cooler, and intake manifold including the same

A charge air cooler includes a housing and a heat exchanger core positioned within the housing. The heat exchanger core includes a first core section, a second core section, and a centrally located section positioned between the first core section and the second core section. The charge air cooler also includes a plurality of coolant circuits. Each coolant circuit extends through at least one of the first and second core sections. The charge air cooler further includes a coolant inlet extending from the centrally located section to deliver coolant to the plurality of coolant circuits, and a coolant outlet extending from the centrally located section to receive coolant from the plurality of coolant circuits. The charge air cooler also includes a fastener extending through the centrally located section of the core to secure the core to the housing.

A system for completing an electrical circuit includes first and second base contacts electrically isolated from each other, each having a magnetic portion secured thereto, each magnetic portion having an opposite polarity, and each of said base contacts electrically connected to an electrical lead for transmitting an electrical signal through said base contacts. The system also includes first and second mating contacts electrically isolated from each other, each having a magnetic portion of opposite polarity secured thereto.

The invention incorporates a modular winding system for an electrical machine that includes a plurality of readily assembled modular windings for engaging a plurality of stator teeth of the machine. Windings comprise a pair of opposed legs terminating in upper and lower flanges, and are readily secured together to make consistent electrical contact between adjacent windings.

An axial void can also be provided to accommodate projections in the socket or to engage an antenna.

The seat back can be lowered in order to enable an individual to lay in a prone condition on the exercising apparatus in order to perform additional exercises such as abdominal exercises, arm exercises and the like.
