Methods and systems for determining a unique invocation of an online feature are disclosed. A key is distributed to multiple users. Upon performing a user action, the key is sent to a Bloom filter. If the output of the Bloom filter is a negative activation, the invocation is deemed to be unique. If the output of the Bloom filter is a positive activation, the invocation is deemed to be non-unique. For a large data set, the computational overhead of processing the key with the Bloom filter is significantly less than the brute force database approach. Thus, in large systems with many millions of users and possible user actions, disclosed embodiments allow assessment of a unique action in a timely manner.

Aggregation of unique user invocations in an online environment

Embodiments described herein provide approaches for detecting anomalies in electronic communications. Specifically, a set of response metrics is obtained from each of a plurality of communications. Each of the plurality of communications is part of a communications batch. Based on an aggregation of the response metric over the plurality of communications, a response metric value for one or more of the set of response metrics is computed. This response metric value is compared to a predicted metric value corresponding to the response metric. Based on this comparison, it is determined whether the response metric value is anomalous. If the response metric value is anomalous, a remediation activity is performed.

Automatic detection of anomalies in electronic communications

Tracking content shared over a network is described. Content with a mailing identifier and a recipient identifier can be transmitted to a recipient. The mailing identifier and the content can be associated with the recipient identifier. A request from the recipient to provide an application with access to the content can be received. The request can include the mailing identifier and the recipient identifier. A web page can be generated. The web page can include the content and can be associated with a second recipient identifier and a link. The request and the second recipient identifier can be associated with the recipient identifier using a forward identifier. A request to access the web page by a recipient friend using the link and the application can be received. The request to access can be associated with the recipient identifier. Reports can be generated and outputted.

Methods and systems for tracking shared content

Systems and methods are disclosed for allowing a recipient of an electronic message to verify the authenticity of the electronic message. A code can be included in the electronic message. The code can represent, or be associated with, an attribute of the electronic message. The recipient can navigate independently of the electronic message to a website familiar to the recipient and enter the code. In response, one or more attributes can be displayed to the recipient. The attributes are usable to verify the electronic message.
