A header for use in implantable pulse generator devices. The header is part of electrical connector assembly having one or more openings designed to receive the terminal pin of an electrical lead wire or electrode. The header is designed to provide and sustain long-term electrical and mechanical lead wire connections between the electrodes of a terminal pin and the implantable pulse generator device.

A connector for electrically and mechanically coupling a lead pin to a pulse generator that includes a housing and a plunger having openings which can be aligned in an unlocked position to permit insertion and retraction of the lead pin. The connector also has a biasing member which moves and then holds the plunger in a locked position relative to the housing such that the housing and plunger pinch the lead pin thereby coupling the lead pin to the connector.

Lead lock for securing a lead to a pulse generator

A seal adapted for use with medical devices is provided. The medical device may be a lead having a distal tip adapted for implantation on or about the heart and for connection to a system for monitoring or stimulating cardiac activity. The lead assembly in one embodiment includes an atraumatic tip. A seal is provided within the lead tip assembly, which prevents or limits further entry of fluids through the lead tip. The lead may be a left ventricular lead with a hemostasis mechanism provided therewithin.

Seal for use with cardiac lead

A connector for connecting to an energy source such as a pulse generator for a cardiac stimulator system. The connector assembly includes a pin, at least one ring and a sleeve composed of an insulative hard polymer molded between the pin and ring such that the sleeve provides electrical insulation between the pin and ring and mechanically couples the pin and ring.

The connector assembly includes a substrate forming a tube extending from a proximal end to a distal end an electrical circuit formed on the substrate, such as etching or printing, where the substrate is optionally non-conductive. In another option, the connector assembly includes clad wires and/or flexible circuits within an insulated terminal structure.
