Embodiments of methods and systems for detecting conditions inside a wellbore according to the invention are disclosed. One embodiment of the invention of the system includes a pipe () that is configured to rotate in a wellbore (). A first detector () is located near the surface and is configured to measure a first parameter that correlates to rotation of the pipe (). A second detector (C) is located at a first depth away from the surface and is configured to measure a second parameter that correlates to rotation of the pipe (). A circuit () is coupled to the first detector () and the second detector (C) and is configured to compare the first and second parameters.
