Described herein are approaches for generating a new queue based on an existing queue. This may include receiving a request to transfer the existing queue from a first device to a second device. A set of move criteria may be evaluated using a playback context, a user profile, a configuration associated with the second device, and/or a level of access constraints. Depending on the results of the evaluation, the existing queue may be completely reformulated to define the new queue. The second device may then be instructed to play the new queue.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for using machine learning to generate automated custom media experiences. Example methods may include determining a first user identifier of a first user present in an environment, determining a first set of media preferences of the first user using media presented in association with the first user identifier, and determining a second user identifier of a second user present in the environment. Methods may include determining a second set of media preferences of the second user using media presented in association with the second user identifier, generating, using a first machine learning model, a first playlist of media using the first set of media preferences and the second set of media preferences for presentation to the first user and the second user, the first playlist comprising first media and second media, and causing audible presentation of the first media.

Systems and methods are disclosed that identify users of a media distribution system that tend to consume popular media items prior to such media items gaining popularity. For example, a set of early adopters may be identified that tend to listen to music associated with particular artists before such artists become popular. The systems and methods disclosed may also utilize identified early adopters to determine relatively obscure or unpopular media items (or creators thereof) that are likely to become popular in the future. Illustratively, an obscure artist whose content is commonly consumed by early adopters can be identified as potentially achieving widespread popularity in the future. These media items predicted to become popular or media item creators may then be recommended to other users of the media distribution system.

Computer processes for predicting media item popularity

The present disclosure provides computer-implemented systems and processes for augmenting user ratings of items, such as a rating of a song playing on a user device, by analyzing contextual information, such as user and/or device activity data associated with the device. The contextual information may be used to determine an associated intensity of the rating or feedback. The determined intensity levels can be used to weigh the associated rating events and improve the quality of item recommendations that are based on such ratings. Contextual information may indicate whether the user transitioned from another application to rate an item, device status information, and so on. In one embodiment, contextual information can be used to assess how intensely the user feels about a music item and to provide improved music recommendations, such as songs to provide in a playlist or radio station, based on the intensity.

System, method and medium for utilizing current and historical device context information to determine content item recommendations

A technology for propagating themes is provided. In one example, a method may include identifying media having a content feature contained in a presentation of the media. The method may include extracting the content feature of the media as a continuous variable and discretizing the continuous variable into a bucket representing a discrete value. A theme label may be applied to the media and may be propagated to other media with continuous variables discretized into the subset of buckets.

Disclosed are various embodiments of a method and system for modifying configurations associated with a hosted electronic platform environment. A request to modify a configuration associated with an entity is obtained. The configuration describes at least one feature including an amount of bandwidth and/or an amount of storage space that is provided to the entity by a hosted service provider. A preview of the modified configuration is provided to the entity. After providing the preview, the configuration is modified.

In order to enforce such a restriction, the computer requests from a user an image of a valid identity document associated with the user, such as a valid driver's license. In response to receiving such an image from the user, the computer performs an image analysis on the image to extract user information. The computer might extract the user's name, address, birthdate, driver's license number, and/or other information from the image for instance. The computer may utilize the extracted information to determine whether the user should be granted access. The computer may determine based upon the extracted information, for instance, whether the age of the user is greater than a minimum age required to access the computer. The computer may be configured to restrict access to a Web site in this manner.

An application processing system may determine application dependencies by parsing application manifest files, filtering customer reviews, and/or emulating the application on a virtual device. A request to modify an account configuration for an account holder is obtained. The configuration describes at least one feature provided to the account holder by a hosted service provider. If the modification complies with the at least one vendor feature rule, the configuration is modified as requested.
