A system includes a material sensor system having an inlet and an outlet. The inlet receives a flow of a material and the outlet outputs the flow of the material. The material sensor system includes an inner cavity having a surface, where the inner cavity receives the flow of the material. The material sensor system also includes a float system having one or more floats, where the one or more floats float within the material of the inner cavity. The material sensor system also includes a switch that sends one or more signals to a control valve system when the float system engages the surface of the inner cavity.

Systems and methods for a material sensor for a material pump

A system having a material sensor system coupled to a material tank is provided. The material tank is configured to receive a quantity of the material and output a flow of the material. The material sensor system includes a float system coupled to an inner surface of the material tank. The float system includes a float configured float within a float cavity. The material sensor system includes a switch coupled to an outer surface of the material tank. The switch is communicatively coupled to the float system through a wall of the material tank, and the switch is configured to send one or more signals to a control system when the float engages the switch.

Systems and methods for a material sensor for a material tank

A system includes a pump. The pump includes a piston configured to axially reciprocate within a body. The axial movement of the piston activates a first chamber valve and a second chamber valve. The system also includes a main valve configured to direct a flow to the pump to facilitate the axial movement which then transfers a fluid from a reservoir to a spray applicator. The system includes a runaway valve system fluidly coupled to the main valve and configured to detect a runaway state of the pump. The runaway valve system is configured to direct the main valve to stop operation of the pump in response to detection of the runaway state.

A system and method for repeatably mounting a spray device in a desired spray position. The present technique provides the spray device with an atomizing spray section and a releasable mount. The releasable mount may be mounted releasably to a mounting member, such as a positioning system. In addition, the releasable mount may be mounted releasably to the spray device, such that the releasable mount may remain attached to the mounting member in a desired spray position. Accordingly, the spray device or its substitute may be remounted to the releasable mount in the desired spray position.

A pneumatically operated device. The pneumatically operated device comprises a movable member disposed within a housing. The movable member is operable to control operation of the device. Pressurized air is directed to a first side of the movable member to drive the movable member in a first direction to operate the device. The pneumatically operated device comprises a check valve disposed through an opening in the housing to enable air to vent from a second side of the movable member. The check valve may comprise a flexible cover extending over the opening and biased against the housing to form a seal.

The system for spraying may comprises a sprayer having a sprayer body comprising a spray fluid passageway extending longitudinally through the sprayer body. The sprayer may also have a spray fluid inlet fitting to enable a hose operable to convey a spray fluid to be coupled to the sprayer body. In addition, the sprayer may also have a first air fitting to enable a first hose operable to convey pressurized air to be coupled to the sprayer body to trigger the sprayer to spray the spray fluid. The sprayer may have a second air fitting to enable a second hose operable to convey pressurized be coupled to the sprayer body to atomize the spray fluid. The spray fluid inlet fitting, the first air fitting, and the second air fitting are angled at an acute angle relative to the spray fluid passageway extending longitudinally through the sprayer body.

In certain embodiments, a pump includes a first end section having a fluid inlet and a fluid intake valve, a second end section having a fluid outlet, and a midsection disposed between the first and second end sections, wherein the midsection includes a piston coupled to a drive member. The pump also includes a first set of bolts coupling the first end section to the midsection, and a second set of bolts coupling the second end section to the midsection, wherein the first and second end sections are independently releasable from the midsection via the first and second sets of bolts, respectively.

A system and method for reducing fluid drainage into air passageways of a spray device during disassembly. The present technique provides an internally mountable fluid nozzle having a fluid inlet, a fluid exit, and a converging central passageway extending substantially between the fluid inlet and the fluid exit. Accordingly, the internally mountable fluid nozzle has a relatively small internal volume, which reduces the amount of fluid that can be spilled during disassembly of the spray device. The present technique also provides a section of the spray device having an air passageway with an air exit, and a protrusive fluid passageway with a fluid exit in a protrusive offset position from the air exit. The internally mountable fluid nozzle can be mounted to the section in fluid communication with the protrusive fluid passageway, such that fluid spillage or drainage during disassembly does not flow into the air passageway. A spray formation section also may be coupled to the section, such that an internal cavity of the spray formation section is disposed about the internally mountable fluid nozzle.

An air cap for an air-assisted spray nozzle assembly of a spray gun system is disclosed. The air cap has a body formed by a housing having an inner surface which includes a plurality of apertures configured to pass a pressurized medium therethrough. The plurality of apertures includes at least one non-circular bounded discharge orifice through which the pressurized medium passes through providing improved air flow through the air cap.
