A fracturing tool features spaced releasable packers with an outlet in between. The housing has relatively moving components for opening the frac port between the packers with weight set on the lower packer. Once the frac port is opened the upper packer is set and the pumping begins. The upper packer can be released so that tension can be pulled on the lower packer to close the frac port and open a through passage in the housing. In one embodiment the through passage can be located above the lower packer to a sand jet perforator to clean debris away from the lower packer if it is difficult to release the lower packer or to abrasively perforate through a tubular. The housing outlet can be below bottom packer to perform a treatment further downhole or to operate another tool. The straddle tool can be run in on coiled tubing.

Straddle frac tool with pump through feature apparatus and method

A ported sub is operated with a pressure actuated shifting sleeve. A first rupture disc is set at a lower pressure than the test pressure for the tubing string that houses the ported sub. The first rupture disc breaks at a lower pressure than the string test pressure to expose well fluids to a disintegrating plug. The plug slowly disintegrates to then expose tubing pressure to a chamber and a second rupture disc with the chamber configured to have no effect on moving the sliding sleeve. When the tubing pressure is then raised to a predetermined pressure below the test pressure for the string, the second disc breaks exposing a piston to tubing pressure on one side and trapped low pressure being the opposite side of the string. The differential moves the sleeve to open a port to let tools be pumped into position without a need to perforate.

Delayed opening pressure actuated ported sub for subterranean use

A camera apparatus that is at least partially incorporated within a downhole tool to be disposed to a subterranean location by a running arrangement. The camera apparatus includes a camera sensor for capturing one or more visual images of a subterranean location and a memory storage operably associated with camera sensor, the camera sensor providing one or more visual images to the storage memory.

A bridge plug with a selectively blocked flow passage is delivered on wireline and pumped down to the desired location and set. A casing pressure test can be performed above the bridge plug while shielding the formation below from excess pressure from the pressure test. To the extent there are producing zones below the bridge plug or adjacent injection wells that could communicate with the borehole, the plug isolates those pressures from below. After the pressure test is completed, a rupture disc is blown in a passage through the bridge plug and flow is then used to deliver completion equipment to a horizontal portion of the borehole and preferably on wireline.

A recoverable data acquisition system includes at least a portion of at least one sensor be positionable within a tubular of a completion system, the at least a portion being recoverable therefrom and a retainer movably disposed at the tubular between at least a first position and a second position, a cavity being defined between the tubular and the retainer when the retainer is in the first position, the at least a portion of the at least one sensor being removable from the cavity in response to movement of the retainer from the first position to the second position.
