The antenna enclosure includes a control bus that is capable of detecting the installation of a new antenna module. When a new antenna module is discovered by the control bus, a communication policy and a data set is determined for the new antenna module. The data set indicates an internal set of internal antenna modules previously detected in the antenna enclosure, an external set of external antenna modules previously detected in other antenna enclosures and geographic locations of the antenna enclosure and the other antenna enclosures. The antenna enclosure is configured to receive and process module-to-module communications from among antenna modules. Module-to-module communications are filtered based on the communication policy.

Antenna module communication control in an antenna enclosure system

A removable rack pulley system is provided. The removable rack pulley system is detachably connected to a rack and is employed to adjust cables that are associated with equipment stored in shelves of the rack. The rack pulley system includes a cable-run assembly and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a pressure-actuated locking pin to adhere and release calipers that attach the rack pulley system to the rack. The cable-run assembly uses a multi-length shaft that is integrally connected to the locking mechanism. The multi-length shaft is configured to receive multiple spools of cable to allow various types and sizes of cables to be simultaneously pulled through the rack pulley system while retaining separation of the cables during adjustment of cables. The spools are secured in the cable-run assembly by a holding wire that detachably connects to an end of the multi-length shaft.

Systems and apparatus for splicing a generic ad into a streaming media broadcast are provided when a user ad is not available. A splicer operates to receive streaming media on a primary channel, receive the user ad from a user ad server on a first channel, receive the generic ad from a generic ad server via a multicast address on a second channel, splice the user ad on the first channel into a streamed programming, splice the generic ad on the second channel into the streamed programming, and transmit the streamed programming into which ads have been spliced to a resulting channel. The generic ad server operates to transmit the generic ad to the multicast address. The user ad server operates to transmit the user ad over the first channel. The resulting channel operates to output the streamed programming.

User-targeted ad insertion in streaming media

A multiprocessor system dynamically updates CPU affinities for processes executing on processors of the multiprocessor system based on an external signal. The external signal is generated by a monitor device. The external signal identifies the processors and the processes that require updating. In response to the external signal, the multiprocessor system redistributes the processes identified in the external signal and powers on or off one or more processors based on a processor threshold associated with the multiprocessor system.

Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and apparatuses for delivering an advertiser's ad content to a user regardless of the channel or media format being accessed by the user. Ads may be delivered within the media stream, in an ancillary stream, or from other sources.

Multimedia ad delivery

A distributed antenna system wirelessly receives an overhead signal having a network identifier. The antenna system replaces the network identifier with a first pseudo-network identifier and with a second pseudo-network identifier. The antenna system wirelessly transmits the network overhead signal having the first pseudo-network identifier from a first coverage antenna at a first location. The first pseudo-network identifier is associated with first information associated with the first location. The antenna system wirelessly transmits the network overhead signal having the second pseudo-network identifier from a second coverage antenna at a second location. The second pseudo-network identifier is associated with second information associated with the second location. User communication devices may receive and translate the pseudo-network identifiers into the information for their respective location.

Updating kernel affinity for applications executing in a multiprocessor system

A distributed antenna system comprises a base antenna system and coverage antenna systems. The base antenna system wirelessly receives a network pilot signal and transfers the network pilot signal to a first coverage antenna system and to a second coverage antenna system. The first coverage antenna system wirelessly transfers the network pilot signal and a first pseudo-pilot signal that is correlated to a first location. The second coverage antenna system wirelessly transfers the network pilot signal and a second pseudo-pilot signal that is correlated to a second location. In some examples, user devices translate the pseudo-pilot signals into their correlated locations.

A wireless communication device transmits a position assistance request. A system database receives and processes the position assistance request to determine a time of the request and a location of the wireless communication device and processes the time and the location to determine if the system database stores positioning satellite information for the time and the location. The system database transfers the positioning satellite information to the wireless communication device if the positioning satellite information is for the time and the location. The system database transfers the position assistance request to a position determining entity if the system database does not store the positioning satellite information for the time and the location.

Provides for delivery and synchronization of an ad to a user of a streaming media. An embodiment uses a transport protocol header extension to provide an ad cue to a splicer for the delivery of an ad within a primary media stream (the stream containing the header extension) or in an ancillary stream. An existing ancillary stream may be used, or a new ancillary stream may be initiated in response to the ad cue. The ad may have a variety of formats such as takeover, overlay, standard banner, and rich media.

Real-time transport protocol ad cue extensions

A service may request the location of a network client in order to deliver advertisements for goods and services that are geographically near the client. It is desirable for the network to provide an obscured, or approximate, location to protect the privacy of the client. The network queries the client for its PN list. From the PN list, the network determines the active cell sectors and active cell towers. The network determines all cell sectors associated with the active cell towers, and excludes the sectors that encompass the client. From the non-excluded sectors, a cell sector is randomly selected. A geographic location is randomly selected from within the cell sector. A region that encompasses the geographic location is determined, and an identifier associated with the region, such as a ZIP code, is sent to the service. The exact location of the client cannot be determined from the regional identifier.

Network client location obscurity

A method and system are provided for airflow management in a data center. The data center includes network elements, sensors, and heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) equipment. The sensors measure climate conditions in the data center and provide an airflow management system with measurements that are utilized to determine which areas in the data center violate data center temperature thresholds and require more air capacity. The airflow management system increases the airflow to areas that contribute to the violation by controlling HVAC equipment to increase air movement or by selecting other areas in the data center or external to the data center that have excess capacity and routing the excess capacity to the areas that contribute to the violation.

The depicted embodiments analyze a text-based data stream a multimedia stream to identify advertisement insertion points. Further, the depicted embodiments communicate with a rule-based database to acquire cue requirements and an advertising database to receive the advertisements. The cue requirements are used to incorporate the advertisements into with the multimedia stream to produce a resulting content stream. The resulting content stream may be provided to a user and/or computing device.

Analyzing text streams for cue points of advertisements in a media stream

A media, method, and data center power management system are provided to manage planned and unplanned data center power outages in a data center having network elements. During a planned outage, a remote device generates a request to simulate a power outage. The data center management system processes the request and suggests powering off one or more network elements based on a role associated with the network element and a measured power consumption associated with each network element. During an unplanned outage, the data center management system receives environmental data that triggers the generation of instructions to power off one or more network elements based on at least one of a calculated uptime associated with one or more backup generators, a role associated with each network element, and a power consumption associated with each network element.
