A system for facilitating resuscitation includes: a first electrode assembly having a therapy side and a first motion sensor; a second electrode assembly having a therapy side and a second motion sensor; processing circuitry operatively connected to and programmed to receive and process signals from the first and second motion sensors to estimate at least one of a chest compression depth and rate during administration of chest compressions and to compare the chest compression depth or rate to a desired range; and an output device for providing instructions to a user to administer chest compressions based on the comparison of the estimated chest compression depth or rate to the desired range. One or both of the electrode assemblies may be constructed so that the conductive therapeutic portion is able to maintain substantial conformance to the anatomy of the patient when coupled thereto. For example, at least a portion of the flexible electrode pad may be able to flex from a more rigid sensor housing, or the sensor housing itself may be relatively small compared to the flexible electrode pad so as not to cause lift off of the therapeutic side from the patient.

Dual sensor electrodes for providing enhanced resuscitation feedback

Systems and apparatuses related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in the administration of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein. The system includes an adhesive pad configured to be adhered to at least a portion of a patient's chest, a sensor configured to be placed on the patient's chest and to measure at least one chest compression parameter during CPR treatment, and a landing pad having a coupling surface at least partially surrounding the sensor and configured for maintaining adherence with an active compression decompression device, the adherence sufficient to transfer decompression force between the active compression decompression device and the patient's chest during the CPR treatment.

An electrode assembly for patient monitoring and treatment can include an electrode configured to be worn by a patient to provide at least one of monitoring a cardiac function of the patient and delivering a treatment for cardiac arrhythmia to the patient; and a first connector connected to and in communication with the electrode, the first connector including a male connection portion. The male connection portion is configured to engage a second connector to form a mating engagement between the first connector and the second connector. The male connection portion includes at least one orientation aligning feature configured to engage the male connection portion of the first connector with the second connector in a fixed orientation with respect to the second connector to form the mating engagement. The first connector has a flattened profile.

Medical device connector for coupling electrodes

Electrodes, multi-electrode patches, and electrodes for biomedical systems are provided. The electrode includes an adhesive film layer having a top surface and a bottom surface. A conductive element is substantially surrounded by the adhesive film layer. A conductive gel layer covers at least portion of a surface of the conductive element. The conducting gel comprises a material that does not result in significant skin irritation on a human subject after a period of at least about one week.

Long term wear multifunction biomedical electrode

Systems and methods of electrical stimulation for intra and extra vascular treatment of a subject are provided. The device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a controller. The controller is configured to apply an electrical current between the first and second electrodes.
