Web-mounting fishing plug has a body with a slot or aperture into which a web can be inserted. The web, for example, a photo, postage stamp, or transparent colored sheet, may be inserted into the slot or aperture. A closure may attached to the body, which may cover the slot or aperture and protect the web from moisture. Provision for light-emission, coloration, pattern, an increase or decrease in mass, hence, density, movement, smell, sound, and so forth may be supplied. Hook(s) and/or other accessory(ies) may be attached. The invention can be provided in kit form so that the web of one's choosing, light, color, etc., may be employed with the plug.

The clip in another embodiment can include a body to which is attached a biasing upper extension arm, and a laterally directed retaining member, and between the body and the laterally directed retaining member is provided at least one gap for receiving a wall portion of the bed liner; optionally, a recess may be provided to accommodate a blind lip tab of the pickup truck cargo area wall.

The newsbox support system can be fulfilled with a post support comprising a support body having a subsurface contact flange in connection with a post-receiving restraint. The post support is useful to mount and support a post such as that of the mailbox, that of a separately mounted newsbox set and/or for other applications such as a fence, bird feeder or bird bath. The post support can be permanently installed in the ground, or it can be temporarily installed on the ground. The post support and the post can be combined. A weed control collar may be employed with the post.
