A device is provided. The device includes one or more of a radially-wound coil, a hall-effect sensor, a power source, and a control circuit. The radially-wound coil is configured to produce a first magnetic field in response to a periodic current applied to the coil. The hall-effect sensor includes a sensor output that indicates proximity of a magnet to the hall-effect sensor. The magnet provides a second magnetic field and the sensor output indicates proximity in response to a combination of a strength of the first magnetic field and a strength of the second magnetic field exceeds a trip level. The coil is in fixed proximity to the hall-effect sensor, and the current is configured to control a polarity of the first magnetic field to detect the magnet. The power source is coupled to the hall-effect sensor, and is configured to provide power that alternates between on and off voltages to the hall-effect sensor. The control circuit is coupled to the hall-effect sensor, and is configured to determine a time stamp that corresponds to a sample time the sensor output indicates the magnet is detected, sample a value that corresponds to the current at the sample time, and determine a sensed distance to the magnet from the sampled value.

Magnet rangefinder

A device is provided. The device includes one or more of a plurality of sensor/light source groups, each including a sensor, a first light source of a first color, and a second light source of a second color, arranged in sequence along an expected direction of travel of an object. The device also includes a device to track objects, coupled to the plurality of sensor/light source groups, and configured to drive first light sources in response to playback of a stored sequence and drive second light sources in response to received active sensor outputs from sensors of the plurality of sensor/light source groups.

Visual biofeedback apparatus

A device is provided. The device includes one or more of a radially-wound coil, a hall-effect sensor, a power source, and a control circuit. The radially-wound coil is configured to produce a first magnetic field in response to a DC current applied to the coil. The hall-effect sensor includes a sensor output that indicates proximity of a magnet to the hall-effect sensor. The magnet produces a second magnetic field and the sensor output indicates proximity in response to a sum of a strength of the first magnetic field and a strength of the second magnetic field at the hall-effect sensor exceeds a trip level. The radially-wound coil is in fixed proximity to the hall-effect sensor. The power source is coupled to the hall-effect sensor and is configured to provide power that alternates between on and off voltages to the hall-effect sensor. The control circuit is configured to receive the sensor output and in response provide the DC current to the radially-wound coil in order to control a polarity of the first magnetic field to detect the magnet.

Adjustable sensitivity magnet sensor

An improved exercise table or reformer having increased adjustability and storage features. The starting point of the carriage or platform is adjustable to accommodate different sized users. An anchor bar mechanism is adjusted to correspond to carriage starting point, and limits rotation of the anchor bar with respect to the reformer and may be non-removable from the reformer frame. A foot bar assembly may be adjusted and placed in a storage position, allowing the foot bar to serve as a lift handle. The reformer's adjustability provides greater ease of storage.

Exercise table

An AC active load device for use with a generator and a controller to supply a variable impedance when supplied with an AC waveform. The AC active load device uses a transformer and one or more transistors to generate an average max load impedance greater than 1000 ohms over varying voltage levels. The transistor functions as a dynamically-controlled resistor to the generator when the generator supplies the AC voltage to the transformer. The transistors may be GaN FETs or LDMOSFETs. The transformer steps down a voltage supplied by a generator to a voltage below the threshold voltage of the transistors. A control voltage is supplied to the gate of the transistors and may be controlled by a controller. A voltage and current are outputted to the controller from the AC active load device. The AC active load device may be used to calibrate the generator.

AC active load

A ladder barrel for use in Pilates type exercise is disclosed. The adjustment mechanism to hold the barrel in place on the floor rail comprises a locking rail and a cam mechanism to press the locking rail into engagement with the floor rail, holding the barrel in position. The locking rail has spring biased plungers to hold it out of engagement with the floor rail when the cam is not engaged.
