Disclosed herein is a system and method for effector reboot on an electric aircraft during flight. An effector controller may perform a power on built-in test on boot. An effector controller may selective perform an additional built-in test (ABIT) on boot based on instructions from a flight controller. The flight controller may use flags to indicate the necessity of an ABIT on boot. The effector controller may not perform an ABIT during flight. A backup controller may be used to send standard commands to an effector controller but may not sent an ABIT command.

System and method for effector reboot on an electric aircraft during flight

A system and method for management of propulsors for an electric aircraft, where the electric aircraft is configured to transition between a hover state and a fixed-wing flight state. The electric aircraft may include at least one set of a plurality of propulsors coupled to the electric aircraft. A flight controller may be coupled to the electric aircraft and configured to detect a state transition of the electric aircraft from the hover state to the fixed-wing flight state and send a parking command to the at least one set of a plurality of propulsors.

Method of propulsor management in electric aircraft

A locking system for an electric propulsion system is disclosed. The system includes a propulsor configured to propel an electric vehicle and a motor operatively connected to the propulsor configured to power the propulsor. The motor includes a rotor connected to the propulsor and a stator configured to rotate the rotor. A propulsor sensor is configured to determine a motion parameter of the propulsor. A lock is configured to prevent a movement of the propulsor. A controller is configured to receive a signal from the propulsor sensor and control the motor as a function of the signal from the propulsor sensor, wherein controlling the motor includes allowing the propulsor to slow at a desired rate for parking.

Systems and methods for locking an electric propulsion system

A system for propulsion management of an electric aircraft. The system includes an electric aircraft that is configured to transition between a hover state and a fixed-wing flight state. The electric aircraft includes at least one set of a plurality of propulsors that are coupled to the electric aircraft. The system includes a flight controller that is coupled to the electric aircraft. The flight controller is configured to detect a state transition of the electric aircraft from the hover state to the fixed-wing flight state. The flight controller is configured to send a parking or unparking command to the at least one set of a plurality of propulsors to reduce air drag.
