Aspects of the present disclosure include methods for processing and displaying multi-channel spectral histograms. Methods according to certain embodiments include obtaining a histogram of cytometric data for a sample, wherein the cytometric data comprises measurements from particles irradiated in the sample flowing in a flow stream, generating the representation of the histogram by encoding the histogram, the encoding comprising: assigning a color to each histogram value in the representation of the histogram, and duplicating each color corresponding to each histogram value in the representation of the histogram a predetermined number of times, and using the representation of the histogram for displaying the histogram. Systems for practicing the subject methods are also provided. Non-transitory computer readable storage mediums are also described.

Method for processing and displaying multi-channel spectral histograms and systems for same

Disclosed herein are methods for producing high density cellular arrays. In some embodiments, the methods comprise: providing a sample comprising a plurality of cells; and introducing the plurality of cells in the sample into microwells of a microwell array to produce a cellular array, wherein the microwell array comprises 500 or more microwells per inch, and wherein 25% or more of the microwells of the cellular array comprise a single cell. The disclosed methods can be used for producing a high density synthetic particle array and a high density reagent array.

Aspects of the present disclosure include methods for generating a bitmap from a data plot of light detected from particles in a flow stream. Methods according to certain embodiments include detecting light from particles in a flow stream, generating a data plot of measurements of the detected light, where the data plot includes one or more regions each having a population of particles, calculating a set of vertices that form a boundary for each region in the data plot, identifying a type of algorithmic transformation associated with each vertex in the set of vertices, generating a bitmap of each region of particles such that the bitmap of each region includes a set of vertices that correspond to the vertices of each region in the data plot and identifying an algorithmic transformation for applying to each vertex in the bitmap of each region. Systems and integrated circuit devices (e.g., field programmable gate arrays) having programming for generating a bitmap according to the subject methods are also provided.
