Systems and methods for displaying a wiring diagram entail reading a computer aided design (CAD) file representing the wiring diagram. Structures surrounding a wiring bundle represented in the wiring diagram are determined and multiple views are generated showing the structures and the wiring bundle. Descriptive labels are automatically associated with the wiring bundle and the multiple views are saved to a production illustration (PI) file.

A first display state of an item of the assembly model is changed to a second display state within the first display area in response to receiving a first type of input. An entry is added to an assembly hierarchy within a second display area in the graphical user interface in response to the second display state of the item changing to the third display state.

Management of a display of an assembly model

A method and apparatus for displaying a product. The three-dimensional model includes objects and a spatial relationship of the objects to each other. A group of the objects in the three-dimensional model is identified based on a policy applied to a user input selecting a portion of the product and assigns a value to a group of attributes associated with the group of the objects. The value assigned to the group of the attributes indicates that the group of the objects is to be displayed on the display system. Other objects in the objects having the attributes without the value are not displayed. The attributes associated with the objects are outputted in which the group of the objects is displayed in three dimensions on the display system using the attributes associated with the objects, enabling a desired level of performance in visualizing the three-dimensional model of the product.

Product visualization system

A method and apparatus for inspecting an aircraft. The method displays, by a processor unit in a mobile device, a two-dimensional layout of an interior of an aircraft on a graphical user interface on the mobile device in which the two-dimensional layout includes fixed features visible within the interior of the aircraft. The method displays, by the processor unit, a three-dimensional view of a group of objects in the aircraft on the graphical user interface on the mobile device with a point-of-view at a selected distance from an object in the group of objects and in a direction when a fixed feature corresponding to the object is selected from the fixed features in the two-dimensional layout using an input system for the mobile device. The method changes, by the processor unit, the direction of the three-dimensional view in response to movement of the mobile device.

Three-dimensional aircraft inspection system for layout of passenger accommodations

A method and apparatus for comparing aircraft parts. A first model is identified for a first aircraft with first customer options. A second model is identified for a second aircraft with second customer options. First parts for the first aircraft in the first model are compared with second parts for the second aircraft in the second model. Graphical representations of the first parts in a first location and the second parts in a second location are displayed simultaneously on a display system. The second location in the second aircraft corresponds to the first location in the first aircraft.
