A bridge device for a building network includes a radio, a wired communications interface configured to communicate with a first master slave/token passing (MS/TP) network, and a processing circuit configured to wirelessly transmit and receive messages to and from MS/TP devices coupled to the MS/TP network. The processing circuit is configured to transparently communicate the messages such that the MS/TP devices on the first MS/TP network are operationally unaware of a wireless network associated with the bridge device by passing tokens for MS/TP devices outside of the MS/TP network.

Systems and methods for wireless networking in a building network

A variable air volume controller includes a communications interface and a processing circuit. The communications interface is configured to facilitate communication with an external device and building equipment. The processing circuit is configured to store a plurality of predefined, selectable-applications; receive a selection of one of the plurality of predefined, selectable-applications; and implement the selected application such that the building equipment is controlled according to the selected application.

Selectable variable air volume controller

System that enables a user to generate a detailed noise complaint with a simple input such as a button click; the system identifies the source of the noise and the authority responsible for monitoring this noise, and it creates a properly formatted complaint and sends it to the responsible authority. Illustrative uses include generation of complaints for noise caused by air traffic, trains, wind turbines, road traffic, or sirens. The user may initiate a complaint using any device such as a mobile phone, a voice-activated system such as Amazon Echo&#x2122; or Google Home&#x2122;, or a dedicated input device. The system may search databases or information feeds to identify the likely source of noise near the user's location. For example, the system may access real-time flight path data to find the airplane closest to the user at the time the user initiates an air noise complaint.

Noise complaint reporting system

A HVAC controller located within a building zone includes a housing, a wireless radio, a controller monitor, a temperature sensor, and a temperature compensation module. The wireless radio is contained within the housing and is configured to transmit data via a wireless HVAC network. The controller monitor is configured to detect wireless activity of the wireless radio, the wireless activity generating heat inside the housing and causing a temperature inside the housing to exceed a temperature of the building zone outside the housing. The temperature sensor is configured to measure the temperature inside the housing. The temperature compensation module is configured to determine a wireless heat rise resulting from the wireless activity, to calculate a temperature offset based on the wireless heat rise, and to determine the temperature of the building zone outside the housing by subtracting the temperature offset from the temperature measured inside the housing.
