A process includes providing a first signal to a first conductive mesh of a semiconductor package to provide a wireless transmission, and receiving, by a second conductive mesh of the semiconductor package, the wireless transmission to provide a second signal. The process includes determining a signature of the second signal and generating, by a cryptographic security parameter generator of the semiconductor package, a cryptographic security parameter based on the signature.

Systems and methods for bypassing firewalls using a server management protocol is provided. In various embodiments, a proxy component serves as a 'man-in-the-middle' between an edge client and a server client. The proxy component can receive a server connection request from the edge client to connect to a requested server client using a managed network name associated with the server client. The proxy component can establish a proxy connection with the requested server client, and routing data packets between the server client and the edge client. The edge client and the server client are connected without the public advertisement of the private addresses of the edge client and the server client.

A system comprises a client workstation, a single sign-on ('SSO') server accessible to the client workstation, and a plurality of host servers accessible to the client workstation. Access by the client workstation to a first host server causes the client workstation to be automatically re-directed to the SSO server and the SSO server causes the client workstation to request sign-on credentials from a user if the user has not signed on to any of the host servers. The first host server, not the SSO server, authenticates the user.

Virtual media images of actual physical media resources, such as O/S boot files and software installation disks, are provided in a remote directory structure. The remote directory structure stores the virtual media images along with access rights of multiple authorized users, such that control is provided over the retrieval of the virtual media images and use of data/programs within the images. The virtual media images may be stored in blocks, or multiple sub-blocks/children, corresponding the actual media resources. Moreover, the remote directory server may simply store virtual media pointers, or location identifiers, which point to another storage location (i.e., a remote computer) having the actual data content of the virtual media image. Accordingly, the directory server processes a user request for a desired portion of the virtual media images by evaluating whether the user is one of the plurality of authorized users and whether the access rights of the user encompass the desired portion. If the user is authenticated and the desired portion is within the user's access rights, then the user may obtain the desired portion of the virtual media images.

A technique is provided for managing network devices and computer systems via a remote directory environment. The remote directory environment organizes various resources, such as servers, in a directory structure and provides access rights and restrictions to the resources based on groups or roles. A user with the proper access rights is then able to access the desired resource, such as a server, and create or modify management operations, device configurations, and other tasks. The subject device may then be notified of the new or modified operation, configuration, or task. The subject device also may routinely or periodically retrieve various management tasks from the remote directory environment.
