The present invention is an optically clear adhesive composition including a free-radically polymerizable acrylate or meth(acrylate) functional group oligomer, a trialkyl borane complex initiator, a photoacid generator, and a photosensitizer. A viscosity of the composition immediately after mixing and a viscosity of the composition about 24 hours after mixing changes by less than about 10%.

The present invention is an assembly layer for a flexible device. Low dielectric optically clear adhesives for flexible electronic display

A plastisol formulation configured for use in coating substrates and a method for applying the formulation. The inventive formulation has exceptional flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. It is comprised of polyvinyl chloride, a plasticizer, a stabilizer, preferably a pigment, and a UV inhibitor/light stabilizer. The formulation is applied to a substrate and then cured by exposing it to an elevated temperature.

Polymer coating formulation and application methods

The present invention is an assembly layer for a flexible device. The reactive composition includes an ethylenically unsaturated polyester-containing oligomeric composition that is the reaction product of a saturated, amorphous co-polyester polyol and a compound with a terminal polyol-reactive group and a terminal ethylenically unsaturated group, a (meth)acrylate functional material, and at least one initiator.

A process including providing a coating head having an external opening in flow communication with a source of a first coating liquid, positioning the coating head relative to a substrate to define a gap between the external opening and the substrate, creating relative motion between the coating head and the substrate in a coating direction, and dispensing a predetermined quantity of the first coating liquid from the external opening onto at least a portion of at least one major surface of the substrate to form a discrete patch of the first coating liquid in a predetermined position on at least a portion of the major surface of the substrate. The first coating liquid as dispensed exhibits a viscosity of at least 1 Pascal-sec. In some exemplary embodiments, the first coating liquid is a liquid optically clear adhesive composition used in a laminate including a light emitting or reflecting device component.

Precision coating of viscous liquids and use in forming laminates

A method of stencil printing includes printing a layer of non-sag adhesive onto a first substrate, adding topography to the layer of non-sag adhesive, and contacting the layer of non-sag adhesive with a second substrate. The second substrate initially contacts only about 5% or less of exposed surface area of the layer of non-sag adhesive.
