A weight element is translatable along the weight path and includes a first weight portion, a second weight portion, and a fastener, the first and second ribs each being interposed between the first weight portion and the second weight portion such that the first weight portion is located proximate the club head wall portion and the second weight portion is located distal the club head wall portion. The second weight portion has a contact surface that includes a recessed region, and when the weight element is in a secured position, at least a portion of the first weight portion is located within the recessed region.

Method, apparatus, and system for golf product reconfiguration

A method for use in a system implementing a reference golf club, one or more sensors associated with the reference golf club, and a computing device. Using the computing device, the method comprises receiving from the one or more sensors swing data relating to a swing of the reference golf club, analyzing the swing data to determine recommended shaft parameter values for each of a plurality of shaft parameters using an algorithm, accessing a shaft database comprising actual shaft parameter values for each of the plurality of shaft parameters for each of a plurality of shafts, determining at least one shaft from the plurality of shafts based, at least in part, on a comparison between the recommended shaft parameter values and the actual shaft parameter values, transmitting information relating to the at least one shaft; and displaying the information on a display of the computing device.

The present application is direction to a computing device having a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive data generated in response to a motion of a sporting apparatus, where the data includes a first data relating to a first characteristic of the motion of the sporting apparatus. The first data is based on a comparison between at least two different directional segments of a path created by a first location on the sporting apparatus during the motion of the sporting apparatus. The processor is further configured to analyze the data to determine a skill value, determine a recommended sporting apparatus from a group of at least two sporting apparatuses based on the skill value; and transmit information relating to the recommended sporting apparatus.

A weight element for slideable communication along first and second ribs of a weight path of a golf club head includes a first weight portion, a second weight portion, and a fastener extending through the first weight portion and at least partially into the second weight portion. The first and second weight portions are configured so that the first and second ribs may be interposed therebetween. A muscle-back iron golf club head includes a blade-like upper mass, a muscle-like lower mass, a planar front surface, a top surface, a sole surface, a heel surface, a toe surface, and a rear surface having a first contour. A recess is in the rear surface, the recess having a first portion in the blade-like upper mass and a second portion in the muscle-like lower mass. An insert may be provided in the recess, and such insert may substantially fill the recess and may include a back surface having a second contour which is different from the first contour of the club head rear surface.

Based on the data input, reconfiguration information is generated, and outputted, that corresponds to one of a plurality of configurations of the adjustable feature of the golf club.
