An electrical connector includes a clamp body having a substantially C-shaped configuration defining an interior cavity. A wedge is configured to be inserted into the clamp body. The wedge has a wedge body defining a conductor channel and a plurality of fins extending from the wedge body into the conductor channel. The plurality of fins is oriented to pierce an insulation layer of a conductor when the wedge is inserted into a clamp body.

An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector having a conductor receiving portion. The conductor receiving portion defines a cavity. The electrical connector assembly further includes a capsule positioned within the cavity of the conductor receiving portion. The capsule contains oxide inhibitor. The capsule is configured to release the oxide inhibitor into the cavity of the conductor receiving portion.

A clamp for clamping an electrical terminal terminating an electrical wire to an electrically conductive post includes a saddle and a fastener. The saddle has an inner surface and at least partially circumferentially surrounds the post. A projection on the inner surface of the saddle is received in a hole of the electrical terminal. The fastener fastens the saddle to the post with the projection received in the electrical terminal so as to sandwich the electrical terminal between the post and the saddle.

An electrical connector installation tool including a frame and a screw ram. The frame includes a front end having an anvil section adapted to contact a front end of an electrical wedge connector shell, and a rear end having a threaded aperture. The screw ram has a front end, a rear end and a middle section. The front end is adapted to contact a rear end of an electrical wedge connector wedge. The middle section includes a threaded section which is connected to the threaded aperture of the frame to allow the screw ram to be screwed into the frame and thereby move the front end of the screw ram towards the anvil section.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus. The apparatus includes a first body, a second body, and an electronic circuit. The first body includes a first end, a second end, and a middle section. The first body further includes a first conductor receiving area and a recessed cavity. The first receiving area extends from the first end to the second end. The cavity is at the middle section. The second body is adapted to be removably connected to the first body. The second body includes a first end, a second end, and a second conductor receiving area. The second conductor receiving area extends from the first end to the second end. An electrical connector and conductor assembly cover is provided including a main housing section and a magnifying window section. The main housing section forms a connector receiving area. The connector receiving area is sized and shaped to house an electrical connector therein. The magnifying window section in the main housing section is located between the connector receiving area and an exterior of the cover such that a user can view a magnified image of a marking on the electrical connector in the connector receiving area from the exterior of the cover without opening the main housing section.

An electrical connector crimp die including a main body and an indicia forming section. The main body has a connector contacting surface between opposite ends of the main body. The indicia forming section is on the connector contacting surface. When the crimp die forms a crimp on an electrical connector, the indicia forming section is adapted to form an alignment indicia on the electrical connector for subsequent alignment of the die with the crimp to form a subsequent overlapping crimp.
