This invention relates to a pesticidal compositions containing at least one pyrrolizidine alkaloid compound derived from a plant and endophyte combination, and applying the pesticidal compositions to another plan without pesticidal protection, where upon application of the composition, the plant confers pest protection. The pyrrolizidine alkaloid compound is of Formula (I) wherein: R&#x2550;H or CHand R'&#x2550;H, CH, CHO, COCH.

Pesticidal plant extract containing loline derivatives

The invention relates to uses and methods relating to grass and endophyte combinations to repel avian species from the grass and endophyte combination. In particular, methods are described to select grass and endophyte combinations in order to enhance or maximize the repellent effect. Preferred endophyte and grass combinations are described which are based on the selection methods and include AR4, AR5, AR8 and AR94 (Deposit Nos. V07/029054, V07/029055, V07/029056, V07/029057) incultivars as well as AR601, AR602, AR603, and AR604 (Deposit Nos. V07/029058, V07/029059, V07/029060, V07/029061) incultivars.

Grass based avian deterrent

An endophyte or endophyte culture ofspecies is described that, in combination with a host grass does not cause typical symptoms of ryegrass toxicosis in grazing animals and also contains levels of compounds from the class of janthitrems epoxides to individually or in combination protect the host grass from pests or abiotic stresses or both. Uses and methods are also described to produce and characterize the combination as well as alternative uses for compounds from the class of janthitrem epoxide compounds.
