Methods and systems for generating a secure copy of content associated with a non-fungible token (NFT) are disclosed. The system will receive a print request to print digital content that is associated with an NFT, access a blockchain to identify a current owner of the NFT, and generate a print job that with instructions to print the NFT content. If and only if the current owner of the NFT is the requesting entity, the system will print a unique authentication code with the digital content. The system will cause a print engine to print the digital content on a substrate or as a 3D object. In some embodiments, the system may be included in a print device that includes the print engine. Other aspects include a system that verifies whether a printed copy of content is an authorized copy, using the unique authentication code and the NFT described above.

Method and system for authentic non-fungible token (NFT) printing

A method of printing on fabric includes: (a) loading a thermoplastic material into a nozzle of an extruder, such as an extruder of a three dimensional (3D) printer; (b) positioning a substrate that includes fabric in a print area proximate to the nozzle; (c) heating the thermoplastic material in the nozzle to a temperature that is equal to or greater than a melting point temperature of the fabric; and (d) extruding the heated thermoplastic material from the nozzle as a filament onto the fabric to yield a printed pattern on the fabric.

An aqueous inkjet printer also ejects drops of UV material on an aqueous ink image and exposes the aqueous ink image and the UV material to UV radiation before passing the aqueous ink image and UV material through a thermal dryer. The exposure to UV radiation pins the UV material to the aqueous ink image and underlying substrate and the thermal dryer fixes the aqueous ink image to the substrate while releasing free radicals from the UV material. A target image, which has been captured of a printed image, is processed to identify defects, where present, which do not occur in a source image from which the printed image was generated. A trained classification model predicts a defect class for respective regions of the target image, each of the defect classes being drawn from a predefined set of defect classes. For at least one of the identified defects, a measure of severity of the defect is determined, such as a size of the defect. A decision on the acceptability of the printed image is made, based on the measure of severity of the at least one defect and the predicted defect class of a respective one of the regions in which the defect occurs.

A method operates a three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing system to maintain a temperature of an uppermost layer of a 3D metal object being formed within a temperature range conducive for bonding between the uppermost layer and a next layer to be formed. A controller of the system compares a temperature of the uppermost layer with at least a low end temperature of the temperature range and operates an electrical resistance switching network using 3D model data to provide electrical power selectively to heating elements in a modular heater to heat the 3D metal object being formed when the temperature indicated by the signal from the sensor is less than the predetermined temperature.

The system also includes a temperature sensor configured to be positioned at least partially with the recess and to have the third layer deposited thereon. The temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature of the first layer of material, the second layer of material, the third layer of material, or a combination thereof.

An image processing system and method provide for receiving a current print job comprising a set of digital page images to be printed on print media sheets, identifying, for each page image, a set of input parameters, the set of input parameters including one or more of a print media sheet weight, a print media sheet size, a print media sheet thickness, a print media sheet porosity, a print media sheet coating, a print media sheet color, and an area coverage. A transport item moves in a process direction to transport sheets of media. The transport item is positioned between an inkjet printhead and a receptacle. The inkjet printhead has nozzles. The transport item has openings arranged in a pattern, the pattern of the openings is consistent along all of the transport item, and the pattern of the openings in the transport item aligns at least one opening with each of the locations of the nozzles as the transport item moves in the process direction. The nozzles eject ink through the openings to the receptacle when the nozzles are aligned with the openings. When controlling the nozzles to eject ink through the openings to the receptacle, a controller can control the nozzles to simultaneously eject ink on a sheet of media while ejecting ink through the openings to the receptacle.
