A display system for a head mounted device (HMD) including a lens comprising a display area on the lens of the HMD, the lens having a base angle and a pantoscopic tilt, a display engine and optics, and a prism to redirect output from the optics to the display area on the lens of the HMD, accounting for the base angle and the pantoscopic tilt.

A multi-mode display includes a mode selector to select one of a plurality of modes, each of the modes having a different light configuration, wherein one mode comprises a reduced color space mode, and one or more light sources controlled by the mode selector, the one or more light sources used to display content to a user with the multi-mode display.

Multi-mode display

A system comprising an illumination system to direct light from one or more light sources to a limiting output pupil of a projection optomechanical system, a liquid crystal on silicon display panel (LCOS) to modulate the light from the projection optomechanical system and to direct the modulated light back toward the projection optomechanical system, and an in-coupler to a combiner waveguide to receive the modulated light from the LCOS, after it passes through the projection optomechanical system. The system in one embodiment is designed so that the light that passes through the projection optomechanical system from the illumination system lands on the LCOS within the limiting output pupil of the projection optomechanical system.

Architecture to illuminate a display panel

A system including a steerable mirror, a waveguide, first optics, intermediate optics, and final optics. The system includes a first light path for a foveal image element, the first light path including the first optics, the steerable mirror to steer a position of the foveal image element to a particular orientation, intermediate optics, and the final optics to direct the foveal image element to an in-coupling region of the waveguide. The system further includes a second light path for a field image element, the second light path including final optics.

A system of eye tracking includes an infrared (IR) source to project IR light to an eye of a user, an IR holographic optical element (HOE) to change an angle of the IR light reflected from the eye of the user, and a sensor to receive the IR light. The system further includes a processor to use the IR light to determine a gaze vector of the user, in one embodiment.

An auxiliary device includes a housing and a rail mount coupled to the housing. The rail mount includes a first rigid member and a second rigid member extending substantially longitudinally along at least a portion of the housing, the first and second rigid members configured to engage a mounting rail defined on a frame portion of a weapon. The rail mount further includes a flex member having a first end coupled to the first rigid member and a second end coupled to a tightening member being movable between a first position and a second position, the flex member configured to provide a gripping force on the mounting rail of the weapon and couple the auxiliary device to the weapon. A shock absorbing member may be provided to prevent or reduce damage to an internal power supply upon discharge of the weapon.
