A guide for cutting a dowel pin of a rotor assembly is provided. The guide includes a catch basin, including a first catch basin portion and a second catch basin portion, and a shim. The first catch basin portion and the second catch basin portion form a cutting tool receiver. The shim extends from a first edge having a cross-section that is complementary to a surface of the rotor assembly. The first catch basin portion and the second catch basin portion form a receptacle that accommodates and retains portions of a dowel pin during and after removal of the dowel pin from the rotor assembly. The cutting tool receiver is defined by a receiver edge configured to guide a cutting surface of a cutting tool through a cross-section of a dowel pin.

Apparatus and method for guiding a cutting/drilling tool and capturing generated foreign material

A foreign material exclusion system for positioning within a casing of a turbine to catch any foreign material during maintenance of the turbine. The foreign material exclusion system may include a fabric sleeve with a semicircular shape and a number of poles attached to the sleeve to maintain the sleeve in place within the turbine casing.

This application provides an inner compressor casing suspension device for lifting an inner compressor casing-inner diffuser casing assembly within an outer compressor casing. The inner compressor casing suspension device may include one more forward inner compressor casing suspension devices extending from the outer compressor casing to the inner compressor casing-inner diffuser casing assembly with each of the one or more forward inner compressor casing suspension devices including a C-clamp and a forward lifting device, and one or more aft inner compressor casing suspension devices extending from the outer compressor casing to the inner compressor casing-inner diffuser casing assembly with each of the one or more aft inner compressor casing suspension devices including an aft lifting device.

Inner turbine case suspension device and method of alignment

A handling system includes an elongated member including a first end and a second end, and a first bend therein. The elongated member is positioned in a slot of the turbine shroud. A base retention member extends from the first end of the elongated member to engage and retain a first end portion of the turbine shroud on the elongated member, and a sliding retainer is configured to slidingly receive the elongated member. The sliding retainer is shaped and sized to slidingly engage in the slot and selectively retain a second end portion of the turbine shroud in a handling position on the elongated member. A lock is coupled to the sliding retainer and selectively movable between a locked position in which the lock retains the sliding retainer in the handling position and an unlocked position in which the sliding retainer slides freely on the elongated member.
