A method is provided for sharing data, stored on a central data store, between a first user and a secondary user. The method comprises the following steps. A share request message is received from the first user. The share request message includes a data identifier for identifying which of the data stored on the central data store is to be shared with the secondary user, and a user identifier for identifying the secondary user. The data to be shared is associated with an account of the secondary user for subsequent access by the secondary user. A system and computer readable medium configured to implement the method are also described.

Sharing user defined location based zones

There is disclosed a system and method for visually representing the probability of spam messages on a mobile communication device. In an embodiment, the method comprises: obtaining a probability that a message is spam; and for each of one or more messages in a message list, visually representing the probability that a message is spam such that any differences in the probabilities as between messages are discernable from the visual representation. In another embodiment, the method further comprises: determining the percentage of the message downloaded to the mobile communication device; and displaying for each of one or more messages appearing in the message list an object or icon visually representing at least one of the probability that the message is spam, or the percentage of the message downloaded to the mobile communication device.

A calendar application for use with a first portable electronic device includes time-dependent events having a start time and an end time and proximity-dependent events having a specified device ID that corresponds to a second portable electronic device. Both the time-dependent events and the proximity-dependent events are stored in the calendar application and the proximity-dependent event is convertible into a time-dependent event. A proximity reminder is generated when the second portable electronic device is in short range radio frequency communication range of the first portable electronic device.

There is disclosed a system and method for delivering a message to a communication device. In an embodiment, the method comprises obtaining a probability that the message is spam; in dependence upon the probability that the message is spam, determining a variable message size; and sending the message to the communication device in dependence upon the determined variable message size. In an embodiment, the method further comprises receiving a user response whether the message is spam; and if the message is verified as being spam, then filtering the message from the communication device.

There is disclosed a system and method for visually representing the probability of SPAM messages on a mobile communication device. In an embodiment, the method comprises: obtaining a probability that a message is SPAM; and for each of one or more messages in a message list, visually representing the probability that a message is SPAM such that any differences in the probabilities as between messages are discernable from the visual representation. In another embodiment, the method further comprises: determining the percentage of the message downloaded to the mobile communication device; and displaying for each of one or more messages appearing in the message list an object or icon visually representing at least one of the probability that the message is SPAM, or the percentage of the message downloaded to the mobile communication device.

A method of transferring data to a portable electronic device includes providing a link for pushing data to the portable electronic device, receiving a selection of the push link, receiving an identifier of the portable electronic device for delivery of the data thereto, and transmitting the data to the portable electronic device.
