A distraction clamp for treating a variety of injuries, comprising a rod clamp assembly having two clamps each configured to retain a rod, a pin clamp assembly comprising a bracket having a first mating surface, and two retainers each having a second mating surface. The bracket is structured to retain a plurality of pins. The first and second mating surfaces of the bracket and retainers respectively, are disposed in movable, retaining engagement with one another. The bracket is reciprocally movable along its length relative to the rod clamp assembly and to the clamp connector. The clamp connector serves to interconnect the rod clamp assembly to the pin clamp assembly. The clamp connector may include a biasing structure disposed and configured to movably bias the bracket in a spaced relation relative to the rod clamp assembly.

Distraction clamp for treating injuries

An assembly for use in an external fixator, structured to adjustably interconnect at least one or a plurality of bone fixation rods to a pin clamp comprising a base structurally adapted for movable, adjustable interconnection between the pin clamp and the one or more rod clamps. An elongate support shaft is movable with the base and movably connected thereto and at least one or alternatively a plurality of rod clamps are mounted on the support shaft. Each of the plurality of one or more rod clamps is structurally adapted to secure a different fixation rod to the support shaft. The one or more rod clamps are movably connected and adjustably positioned on the support shaft in adjacent relation to one another. The base, the support shaft and one or more rod clamps are movably interconnected relative to one another to define a substantially universal disposition of said plurality of rod clamps relative to the pin clamp.

Embodiments of the invention relate to endoscopic instruments. More particularly, embodiments of the invention relate to features on the clevis portion of endoscopic instruments. The clevises may be formed from a sheet material to obtain a substantially cylindrical end and at least one clevis arm. The clevis features may include an axle having at least one flared end to engage a clevis arm, one or more U-shaped grooves on the clevis arms to receive an axle, and stiffening ribs to strengthen the clevis arms.
