A cable seal includes a heat-shrinkable tubing coupled to a cable outer jacket. An elastic member is positioned about the heat-shrinkable tubing. A cap is positioned about the heat-shrinkable tubing. At least one of the elastic member and the cap has a vertical sealing surface and a horizontal sealing surface. The vertical sealing surface extends substantially coaxially with respect to a longitudinal axis of the cable seal, and the horizontal sealing surface extends substantially radially with respect to the cable seal longitudinal axis.

Cable seals and methods of assembly

A method of sealing a cable penetration includes assembling a cable seal and inserting the cable seal into a cable penetration. Assembling the cable seal includes adhering at least a portion of a heat-shrinkable tubing to at least a portion of a cable outer jacket, and positioning a secondary elastic seal over the heat-shrinkable tubing. An example of a secondary elastic seal could be O-rings. A cap or other means provides the outer sealing surface.

Methods of assembling cable seals

A method for assembling an eddy current inspection device includes at least partially positioning a first tip assembly within a cavity defined by a proximity probe case. The first tip assembly defines a bore therethrough. The first tip assembly is sealingly coupling to the proximity probe case. A second tip assembly is at least partially positioned within the cavity and sealingly coupled to the first tip assembly.

The dynamic pressure tester includes a first cylinder and a first piston movable relative to the cylinder. The piston may have one or more weights applied thereto. The cylinder is vibrated by a shaker table and pressure pulses in the fluid are transmitted to a stationary housing and to a second piston in the housing. The opposite side of the piston contacts a corrosive or caustic fluid also in contact with the sensor face of an article being tested. The pressure pulses are transmitted by the second piston and corrosive fluid to the sensor face, enabling dynamic pressure testing in the corrosive fluid.
