A force adjustable spring distractor device having an elongated, relatively thin guide plate, a force adjusting rod member having first and second oppositely threaded portions, first and second anchor bodies mounted on the guide plate and the threaded portions of the rod, first and second distractor bodies mounted on the guide plate and the rod, and first and second distraction springs connecting the anchor bodies to the distractor bodies, whereby rotation of the force adjusting rod results in separation of the anchor bodies and elongation of the distraction springs, thereby imparting a separation force to the distractor bodies.

Force adjustable spring distractor

An ultrasonically pulsating high-pressure fluid jet coupled with a suction system serve as a tissue harvesting device. The pulsated fluid jet disrupts tissue, permitting both harvesting of cells for therapeutic delivery, and as a surgical dissector and aspirator, for liposuction, soft tissue dissection, etc. The jet is delivered to the target tissue through a cannula, coupled to an aspiration system. An ultrasonically actuated rod vibrates within the cannula engaging a nozzle, disrupting the fluid jet into droplets, permitting tuning of the jet to the resonant frequencies and impact pressures necessary to dissociate the target tissue. A suction recovery system may be separated or integrally formed with the fluid jet cannula, and is linked by a closed tubing system appropriate for sterilization and subsequent delivery of the harvested cells/tissues with or without growth factor or matrix addition for human re-implantation or for in vitro expansion for later re-implantation.

Fluid jet cell harvester and cellular delivery system

An orthotic helmet and methods for fabrication and use thereof. The orthotic is molded in situ on a growing infant's head for the treatment of plagiocephaly, postsurgical cranial molding, or other desired treatment plans. The helmet makes contact in areas where cranial shape and volume are adequate, and no contact in areas of planned cranial growth. The helmet includes a shell, a bladder system which can be filled with a viscoelastic expandable foam, a fastener and a retaining strap. In the areas of deficient cranial volume, a volume of modeling putty equivalent to the target growth volume is placed against the cranium, manually molded until the planned target volume and form have been attained, and the helmet is molded in place over this spacer material. The spacer is then removed, and the helmet is then worn continuously until resolution of the deformity or attainment of planned form is reached.

In situ molded orthotic and method for its fabrication

The present disclosure provides for a system for mandibular distraction which includes a rod and a first pin clamp assembly coupled adjacent a first end of the rod. Furthermore, the first pin clamp assembly includes a first clamp. The system further includes a second pin clamp assembly which includes an advancement mechanism that moveably couples the second pin clamp assembly to the rod and a second clamp. Furthermore, a swivel joint is disposed between the advancement mechanism and the second clamp whereby the second clamp is enabled to rotate relative to the advancement mechanism.

The present disclosure provides for a midface distraction system which includes a cannulated distraction rod having a socket disposed adjacent a first end, and a threaded portion disposed between the socket and a second end of the rod. The midface distraction system may further include a cannulated malar pin having a flange at a first end and a second end configured to form a moveable coupling between the cannulated malar pin and the socket.

Method and system for facial osteodistraction using a cannulated device

The present invention relates to an osteogenic distractor suitable for indexed osteotomy following permanent implantation into bone. The osteogenic distractor may be a means for anchoring two or more sections of bone and a means for facilitating movement of one section of anchored bone relative to another section of anchored bone. Furthermore, the continuous tension on the bone produced by the distractor may facilitate stimulation of osteogenesis around the implant.
