According to a further embodiment, an automotive vehicle including a body frame having opposed side frames and a subframe having opposed side members is disclosed. The subframe includes a stabilizer bar connection assembly comprised of generally U-shaped recess formed in each of the opposed side members and a generally U-shaped bushing disposed within the recesses. The opposed side frames overlie the opposed side members adjacent the recesses and secure the bushings within their respective recess.

Stabilizing bar mounting structure

The disclosed subject matter relates to a suspension system for use on a vehicle that includes a knuckle, a first trailing arm structure, a second trailing arm structure, an upper arm structure, and a lower arm structure. The first trailing arm structure and second trailing arm structure can be configured to extend in a frontward direction from the knuckle to a connection at a forward portion of a vehicle frame. The upper and lower arm structures can be configured to extend substantially transversely with respect to the vehicle longitudinal axis and connect to a rearward portion of the vehicle frame. The second trailing arm structure can cross underneath the lower arm structure as viewed from a direction normal to a plane defined by the central axis and horizontal axis of the knuckle, such that the second trailing arm structure is located closer to the travel surface of the vehicle than the lower arm structure at a location where the second trailing arm structure crosses underneath the lower arm structure.

Vehicle suspension and method

A vehicle suspension mounting structure and method can include a control arm connected to a bushing via a fastener rod and the method of connecting the same. The bushing can be attached to a portion of the vehicle frame. The fastener rod can be inserted into a cavity in the control arm such that the fastener rod extends away from the control arm and is prevented from being removed from the cavity in the control arm by a lip provided at a proximal end (relative to the control arm) of the fastener rod. The mounting structure and method can provide a safer and stronger connection between the control arm and bushing. In addition, serviceability can be improved and cost savings can be realized in some cases.

Vehicle suspension system and method

A vehicle suspension system can include a multi-mount bracket that includes connective structures configured to simultaneously connect a control arm, a stabilizer bar, and a vehicle frame together. The multi-mount bracket can be shaped such that there is a bearing opening for attachment to the control arm via a bushing, and three additional openings for attachment to the stabilizer bar and vehicle frame. The additional openings can include a tapped opening. A method for controlling the suspension of a vehicle can include simultaneously attaching a control arm, a stabilizer bar, and a vehicle frame together via a multi-mount bracket.
