The present invention provides antibodies that bind human Anx-A1 for use in the treatment of cancer, including drug-resistant cancer. Kits and products for this use are also provided.

Cancer treatment with an antibody

The present invention relates to an isolated specific binding molecule which binds human Anx-A1 and comprises the complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) VLCDR1, VLCDR2, VLCDR3, VHCDR1, VHCDR2 and VHCDR3, wherein each of said CDRs has an amino acid sequence as follows: The specific binding molecule disclosed is therapeutically useful and in particular may be used in therapy for T-cell mediated diseases, including autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and OCD-related diseases, such as anxiety disorders.

Anti human annexin A1 antibody

The present invention provides a system comprising: (i) a layer containing a nitrite; and (ii) a hydrogel that contains hydrogen ions; wherein the layer containing a nitrite and/or the hydrogel comprises a pharmaceutically active agent. The invention also provides the use of a system of the invention in medicine, and in the treatment of pain.

Transdermal delivery system

The present invention provides a system comprising: (i) a layer containing a nitrite; and (ii) a hydrogel that contains hydrogen ions. The invention also provides the use of a system of the invention for the treatment of a condition associated with tissue ischaemia or a wound and the use of a system of the invention in combination with an anaesthetic for the treatment or prevention of pain.

Dressing system

The invention is concerned with the use of certain fatty acids and inhibitors of an enzyme in effecting modifications to the lipid structure of cell membranes. The invention also relates to the formulation of pharmaceutical compositions and medicaments and to such products per se; to the treatment of a variety of clinical and veterinary disorders associated with a lowering of the saturation index of cell membranes, including malignancies, viral disorders and AIDS; and to the use of the active materials of the invention in the relief of pain. The active principals in the present invention are saturated fatty acids having from 12 to 28 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, e.g. stearic acid, or pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives thereof; and inhibitors of the enzyme .DELTA.-9 desaturase, e.g. sterculic acid and malvalic acid or pharmacologically active derivatives or analogues thereof.
