Provided herein are additives for paper compositions comprising poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and polyacrylamide polymer that are capable of increasing the ash retention of the paper composition. Also provided are methods of making a paper composition using the additives of the disclosure.

A dual operation grasping forceps for use with an endoscope includes an elongated tube having a control mechanism along a first end, and a grasping section along a second end. The grasping section includes a plurality of resilient wire members each having a loop along a distal end. A cable is positioned through the loops to form a circular or triangular shape snare. The grasping members are independently connected to the control mechanism by a first operating wire, and the cable is independently connected to the control mechanism by a second operating wire. The control mechanism selectively moves the grasping section between a retracted position, an extended position and a closed position.

Compositions for increasing corn oil recovery and embodiments of methods for using the composition for corn oil separation are described. The composition(s) incorporate an admixture that includes a polymer selected from a polyglycol ester, a polyethyleneoxide-polypropyleneoxide block copolymer, a poloxamine, or a mixture thereof. The methods include admixing the compositions with a process stream for, for example, the extraction of oil from milled corn and residues from a fermentation step, including stillage (e.g., thin stillage or mid stillage), distiller's wet grain, distiller's dry grain and distiller's dry grains with solubles.

A dual-bladed surgical saw and methods of use are described. A preferred embodiment of the dual-bladed surgical saw include a saw body having a blade assembly attached thereto, the blade assembly being positioned about a rotational axis. A first blade is radially spaced about the rotational axis, extending outwardly from the blade assembly substantially parallel to the rotational axis, and terminating at a first cutting surface. A second blade is radially spaced about the rotational axis, extending outwardly from the blade assembly parallel to the rotational axis, and terminating at a second cutting surface. An oscillator mechanism is coupled to the first and second blades for simultaneously reciprocating the first and second blades. The first blade is independently rotatable relative to the second blade about the rotational axis for defining a predetermined cutting angle between the first blade and second blade.

A dual bladed surgical saw and method of use. Two blade assemblies are attached to a saw body. Each blade assembly includes an oscillator driving a blade, and teeth on each blade. The blades are disposed at a pre-determined blade angle relative to each other, thus allowing two cuts to be made simultaneously and independently at the blade angle relative to each other. The blade assemblies may be rotatable relative to each other, which allows the pre-set blade angle to be varied appropriate to the procedure contemplated. One embodiment uses a slotted protractor bearing protractor indicia, and a threaded fastener to set the blade angle. Another embodiment uses shims between blade assembly arms to quickly and accurately set the blade angle. Method steps include pre-setting the blade angle, and making two cuts simultaneously at an angle relative to each other equal to the blade angle.
