Visible light reflecting particles comprise one or more detergent ingredients and a light reflecting component, which results in the particle having a specular visible light reflection which is greater in intensity than the specular visible light reflection of the ingredients per se. Preferably, the reflection is greater than the reflection of sodium citrate dihydrate, as defined herein. The reflecting particle preferably comprises the light reflecting component evenly applied on its surface.
