A fan for use in agriculture includes a housing, a motor, a propeller, a damper, and a controller. The damper is connected to the housing and is movable between open positions and a fully closed position. The controller controls the motor to rotate in a first rotational direction to cause the propeller to generate airflow in a first airflow direction through the housing from an inlet to an outlet and, upon receiving an instruction to shut down, controls the motor to rotate in a second rotational direction, opposite to the first rotational direction, to cause the propeller to generate airflow in a second airflow direction, opposite to the first airflow direction, through the housing from the outlet to the inlet, before ceasing rotation.

Fan for use in agriculture

A fan for use in agriculture which has a BLDC motor which allows for varying the speed of the fan to vary the airflow rate of the fan and vary the efficiency of the fan. A damper assembly for use with an axial fan to prevent air from entering the discharge side of the fan when the fan is at idle. The damper assembly includes a damper door having multiple sections. The sections are able to pivot independently in response to the air flow created by the fan to minimize airflow resistance when the fan is operating.

A radio frequency interference suppression circuit assembly for an electric motor is provided in an easily assembled efficient package. The circuit assembly uses a case which houses a toroid inductor and feed-through capacitors which are electrically connected to the case and the toroid inductor to form a filter. Connector leads are provided to connect the package to a power input of an electric motor.
