Certain embodiments of the present invention provide an arrow rest usable with an archery bow to support an arrow shaft in a ready-to-draw position during the draw and until the release of the arrow by an archer. The arrow rest preferably aligns an elongate axis of the arrow shaft in a desired path which the arrow follows during release from the bow and at least initially towards the target. In certain embodiments, the arrow rest includes a support frame mounted to an archery bow riser. At least one resilient, inwardly extending support piece made from a sheet-based material extends across the frame to radially support portions of the arrow shaft. In use, arrow rests according to preferred embodiments of the present invention preferably support the arrow in place and impede the arrow from laterally escaping from the arrow rest.

Arrow rest

An arrowhead assembly and a method for assembling an arrowhead are provided. The arrowhead of the disclosure is secured to an inside portion of the arrow shaft and the outside portion of the arrow shaft. In some embodiments the arrow tip threads into an insert that is secured within the tip of the arrowhead. Also, in some embodiments, a sleeve extends over the end of the arrow shaft and is radially compressed onto the shaft.

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a pin and sight point shape configuration for enhancing sight point visibility. Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to a pin configuration including a pin portion, an integral pin mounting portion, and an integral spool adapted to be positioned offset to one side of a bow sight.

Bow sight structures

A bow sight having a support structure, and two or more vertically aligned vertical pins connected to the support structure is provided. At least two of the vertical pins include a sight point. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a bow sight having a support structure connected to two or more sight points is provided. The two or more sight points are rotationally adjustable such that they can be rotated into vertical alignment. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a bow sight having a support structure, a sight point connected to the support structure, and a dampener is provided.

A drop-away arrow rest having an arrow support arm that drops in a straight, non-pivotal and non-rotational path. The arrow rest that has an arrow support arm that lifts the arrow, from a first, relaxed, position to a second, actuated, position when the archer draws the bowstring. Upon release of the bowstring, the arrow support arm drops, with vertical, non-rotational and non-pivotal movement, in a straight line, to return to its relaxed state. Actuation and release of the arrow support arm is accomplished by an attachment to the bowstring, such as a cord, and by a biasing means. The arrow rest includes various adjustment means that allow lateral and/or horizontal positioning of the arrow in relation to the bow handle.

A mount for a bow sight which includes a vertical adjust mechanism at a second end which is actuated by a rotation of a shaft extending toward an opposing first end. The mount includes a central support which is configured to mount to a bow. Vertical adjustment of the bow sight is accomplished by rotation of a rear end of a shaft extending from the first end of the mount.

The invention relates to an archery device having a part or component is injection molded; the part is injection molded metal, ceramic, or composite material. A sight pin for a bow sight is a part that is especially suited for being injection mold. Injection molding of metal, ceramic or composite sight pins allows for various cross-sectional shapes and areas for the pin along its length. The injection molded sight pin can be a vertically extending pin or a horizontally positioned pin, and multiple pins may be configured for viewing in a straight line.

The invention is directed to a bow sight that is constructed to automatically compensate for arrow drop when the elevation of the target and the shooter is varied. In one embodiment, the bow sight includes a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion that cooperate to define a target viewing opening, the lower portion of the frame including a sight pin support that is pivotally movable relative to the upper portion of the frame.

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method of targeting. The method includes positioning a sight point so that the sight point can be used to shoot targets located at different positions relative to the shooter. Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to a sighting arrangement for facilitating the practice of the above-identified method.

A bow sight having a support structure, and at least one pin connected to the support structure, the pin having a sight point. The support structure can be movably connected to a mounting base for attachment to a bow. The support structure is movable from a first position to a second position, thus changing the position of the pin in respect to the archer. In a preferred embodiment, when in the first position, the pin extends vertically and when in the second position, the pin extends horizontally.

A bow sight having a vertical pin and a sight point pivotally connected to the bow, the pin and sight point being vertically and laterally adjustable. The bow sight includes a structure, pivotal in relation to a bow handle. The pivotal structure may be pivotally connected to a stationary structure, which is fixedly attached or connected to a bow handle. The moveable nature of the pivotal structure provides compensation for changes in targeting distance due to changing the position of the bow. Additionally, various features provide vertical and lateral adjustment of the sight points. The bow sight of the present invention accommodates for changes in shooting angle without having to manually readjust the sight points.
