A method and enhancements for the decontamination of water containing one or more PFAS contaminants includes introducing a foaming agent into the water, and injecting a gas through a diffuser and into the water so as to form a plurality of bubbles in the water, the one or more PFAS contaminants accumulating on the plurality of bubbles. The plurality of bubbles is allowed to rise, forming a foam at the surface of the water. The resulting foam is then collected and transported away from the surface of the water, where it condenses into a liquid and is treated to regulatory standards.

Enchanced system and method for treatment of soil and groundwater contaminated with PFAS

A method for the decontamination of water containing one or more PFAS contaminants includes injecting a gas through a diffuser and into the water so as to form a plurality of bubbles in the water, the one or more PFAS contaminants accumulating on the plurality of bubbles. A mounting system is provided that mounts a fairing to the cab of a semi-tractor in a manner that hides the fasteners from view. The mounting system provides quicker assembly and disassembly among others. The mounting system may include anchor pins at one end section of the transition fairing, a single mounting screw at the opposite end section of the transition fairing, and one or more fasteners of the Snaploc&#xae; type at the mid-section of the transition fairing. Each of the couplings interface with a suitable corresponding bracket, etc, in order to mount the fairing to the associated surface of the vehicle.

A shroud assembly for an engine cooling fan positioned between an engine and a radiator includes a ring shroud, a radiator shroud, and a flexible boot. The ring shroud is mounted adjacent to the fan and includes a locking feature. The radiator shroud, which is mounted to the rear of the radiator, has a first end with a first aperture for receiving air flowing rearwardly through the radiator, and a second end with a second aperture for discharging air received by the first aperture. A first end of the flexible boot engages the locking feature of the ring shroud to secure the flexible boot to the ring shroud. A second end of the flexible boot contacts the radiator shroud so that the boot provides fluid communication between the ring shroud and the radiator shroud.

A method of treating a solid matrix containing organic contaminants is provided. The method comprises the steps of a) injecting ozone into the solid matrix for a period of time known as the pulse duration; b) interrupting the injection of ozone into the solid matrix for a period of time known as the gap duration; and c) repeating step a) at least one additional time. Gap durations of from about 2 hours to about 48 hours are disclosed. Pulse durations of from about 0.25 hours to about 8 hours are also disclosed. Recalcitrant organic contaminants are treated.

Method of using pulsed ozone to treat soils containing organic contaminants

A central tire inflation system for maintaining tire inflation on a vehicle having a torque transfer sleeve connected between an axle plug assembly and a stationary shaft on the rotary union assembly. A flexible conduit extends through the axle plug to the rotary union assembly and is used to provide air pressure to tires connected to the rotary union assembly. The torque transfer sleeve limits rotational torque on the flexible conduit. Primary and secondary seals are provided on the rotary union assembly as well. A vent chamber between the primary and secondary seals allows the release of air which exits the primary seal, which prevents pressure from entering the lubrication area of the rotary union assembly.

The present invention provides a method of reducing the concentration of recalcitrant organic contamination in a soil matrix. The method includes the steps of incubating the contaminated soil matrix with unacidified ozone sufficient to reduce the concentration of the recalcitant organic contamination in the soil matrix by about 10% to about 15%; and then applying unacidified ozone to the soil matrix sufficient to substantially reduce the concentration of the recalcitrant organic contamination in the soil matrix. During the incubation phase, the ozone demand of competitive, non-contaminant ozone consumers in the soil is satisfied. Additionally, during the incubation phase, ozone conditions the contaminated soil matrix to prepare the recalcitrant organic contamination for subsequent rapid and substantial destruction. When the concentration of the recalcitrant organic contamination has been reduced by from about 10% to about 15% in the soil, the incubation phase has ended such that the application of additional unacidified ozone to the soil matrix rapidly and substantially reduces the concentration of the recalcitrant organic contamination in the soil matrix.
