The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating, ameliorating, and/or preventing cocaine addiction in a subject. Immunization byalters serotonin signaling in the brain, reducing stress- and anxiety-like responding in animal models of post-traumatic stress disorder and other anxiety disorders.
