A system and method whereby an user interface editing device is used to create a user interface for a controlling device, the created user interface including user interface elements that are associated with functional operations of a virtual equivalent of an appliance. After the created user interface is transferred to the controlling device, the virtual equivalent of an appliance is caused to be linked to an intended target appliance whereupon activation of those user interface elements of the graphical user interface that were associated with functional operations of the virtual equivalent of an appliance will cause the controlling device to transmit commands to control corresponding functional operations of the intended target appliance.

Systems, software, and computer implemented methods associated with a smart monitoring system used to monitor, manage, and modify the usage of various applications and/or websites on a mobile or other computing device are described herein. In one example method, user interactions performed at a client device are monitored, and a determination is made as to whether the monitored user interactions are associated with non-educational content or applications. In response to determining that they are, an activity timer is increased based on ongoing interactions with the non-educational content or application. In response to a determination that a current value of the activity timer exceeds a predetermined threshold value, an interruption process is triggered on the client device causing at least one educational activity to be performed by the user of the client device. Before allowing interaction with the non-educational content or application, the educational activities must be satisfactorily completed.

System, method, and applications for monitoring online usage of minors

The present disclosure involves systems, software, sensors, and applied solutions for detecting incidents associated with a vehicle, where sensors associated with the vehicle identify impacts or proximity alerts to other vehicles and objects and record information related to those detected incidents. The recorded information can be immediately communicated to interested parties of the person or entity (e.g., emergency responders, business contacts) associated with the vehicle, or alternatively, stored for inspection at the vehicle and reviewed at a destination along the vehicle's route. In one example method, operations include detecting an incident associated with a monitored vehicle, where detecting the incident comprises receiving an alert from at least one sensor associated with the vehicle, identifying a location of the vehicle in response to the detection, and storing a record of the detected incident, where the record includes the identified location of the vehicle and a time associated with the detected incident.
