A lighter () has a container () of gas, a first gas circuit () intended to produce a first type of flame () and a second gas circuit () intended to produce a second type of flame (). The lighter () further has a driver () associated with a mechanism () for producing sparks, activation in rotation of said driver () generating sparks. The driver () is mounted in the lighter () to be mobile in translation between a nominal first position in which it holds the first circuit () open in order to allow the gas from the container () to pass through the first circuit () and thus to obtain the first type of flame (). A second position is provided in which it blocks the first circuit () in order to allow the gas from the container () to pass through the second circuit () and thus to obtain the second type of flame ().
