Electric energy storage system comprising an inverter

An electronic system for a battery designed to supply electrical power to an application, such as in an aircraft, that includes a main power supply, comprises a charging circuit () with a charger (KC), a first battery discharging circuit () in parallel with the charging circuit, a component ensuring continuity of discharge (D) and an electronic control unit adapted to control opening and closing of the discharge switch (K) and adapted to control said charger (KC). The control unit keeps the battery charged as long as it is not being called on to discharge and interrupts battery charging and sets the discharge switch (K) to the closed position when a call for power is detected from the application, the component ensuring continuity of discharge (D) allowing passage of a discharge current during a transitional phase of closing of the discharge switch (K).

Electronic system for a battery

An electronic system for a battery comprises a charging circuit () for the battery connected to a connector powering the charging circuit (), a control and monitoring circuit () for the operation of the battery, and a discharge circuit connected to power connectors () of the battery. The control and monitoring circuit () interrupts battery charging when there is a call for current via the power connectors () of the battery. The electronic system has application to rechargeable batteries used to provide back up power.

A control system for a rechargeable battery including at least two electrochemical generators electrically connected by a power line. The system includes a protection unit and at least two control units respectively connected to the terminals of each electrochemical generator. Each control unit is designed to measure at least one operating parameter pertaining to the generator and to command the protection unit by transmission of carrier currents on the power line. The control system dispenses with the master processor for commanding the battery protection units and reduces the connecting wires by dispensing with the measurement leads designed to transmit the measurements of the operating parameters of each generator to the master processor.
