A method for determining the configuration of a set of nodes and/or links of a cluster possessing a cluster head comprises: triggering an information request by interrogating one or more nodes or links and asking the said nodes or the said links to evaluate for each communication channel an index of communication quality, and then selecting a configuration when the cluster head has received the indices of communication quality; verifying whether the indices of quality received comply with a given constraint, retaining the indices which satisfy the largest number of nodes or links, and triggering a configuration selection procedure; if the configuration retained satisfies the set of nodes or links interrogated, then updating the list of channels and communicating this configuration to the nodes or links of the cluster; if not, updating the list of communication channels, or remaining in the initial configuration of the set of nodes or links.

Distributed method for selecting a configuration in mobile networks

A method is provided for retransmitting fragmented packets for which a transference of retransmission credit is performed from one fragment onto the next. The method makes it possible to do away with the drawbacks of the methods existing by appreciably improving performance in terms of untransmitted packet rate and by making it possible to configure the distribution of the error probabilities for the fragments of an IP packet.

A method of multiple access communication in a centralized network is based on an ultra wideband impulse physical layer allowing code-based multiple access. Each user is associated with a code, and the transmission is performed in an asynchronous manner in a propagation medium with multiple paths. It is characterized in that a criterion is established so as to find the codes of the various users making it possible to minimize the variance of the multi-user interference at the output of a linear receiver.

Disclosed is a method and system of communications in a network using a protocol of transmission of pulses between a master station and one or more user stations. The pulse response of the master station received by the user stations is synchronized. The pulse responses acquired from the user stations are received by the master station. Pulses close to each other are sent from the master station to the different user stations, and from the differnt users to the master station. The pulses are equalized at reception for each user station and for the master station.
