A method for constructing a high-resolution merged signal from low-resolution signals acquired by an acquisition device includes acquisition of low-resolution signals (BR), measurement and/or estimation of acquisition parameters, pre-merging of the signals as a function of the low-resolution signals and of the parameters, filtering of the pre-merged signal, transmission of the filtered pre-merged signal and of the parameters, calculation of an estimate of the pre-merged signal by an inverse filtering of the filtered pre-merged signal, and determination, according to a variational method, of the high-resolution merged signal from the estimate of the pre-merged signal and of the parameters, a resolution of the merged signal is greater than a resolution of each signal.

Method for constructing a high-resolution merged signal or image from a low-resolution plurality of signals or a low-resolution plurality of images

The invention concerns a method and a device for digital image restoration. The digital image to be restored comes from an initial image acquired by an image acquisition device having an associated acquisition instrumental noise. The method comprises the following steps: &#x2014;obtaining () an intermediate digital image with restoration of the acquisition instrumental noise, &#x2014;denoising () the intermediate digital image in order to obtain a denoised intermediate digital image, &#x2014;deconvolution () of the denoised digital image in order to obtain a restored digital image.

Method and device for digital image restoration

The invention relates to a method and device for characterizing at least one optical aberration of an optical system of an image acquisition device, the optical system having an associated optical transfer function that is dependent on the aberrations, the image acquisition device being capable of acquiring at least two images in a field of image capture in a manner so as to introduce a differential aberration between the two images, each image being defined by a digital image signal. The method includes the obtaining () of a first image and a second image of a same given zone of the field of image capture, the second image being acquired with a differential aberration (&#x394;aberr) relative to the first image, each image acquisition having an associated optical transfer function. An optical aberration is characterized () by the calculation of at least one parameter by minimization of a functional expressed as a function of the first and second images acquired, from a modelling of the optical transfer functions associated with the two image acquisitions dependent on the aberrations of the image acquisition device as well as on the differential aberration (&#x394;aberr).

Method and device for characterising optical aberrations of an optical system

An image processing system in which the georeferencing of at least one digital image is achieved by means of at least one picture model of the said digital image and of a digital reference relief form. The digital image is obtained from a pair of digital images acquired in the same focal plane. An intermediate digital relief form is produced from said pair of digital images. The intermediate digital relief form and said digital reference relief form are processed to refine the said picture model of the said digital image to be georeferenced. A final digital relief form is generated and said final digital relief form and said digital image are projected in a geographical or cartographic system, for the purpose of their georeferencing. The pair of digital images in the same focal plane are acquired in a small stereoscopic base configuration by sensors located in the same focal plane.

A method of acquiring and processing a satellite observation image of the earth by means of at least one strip or a matrix of detectors of the charge transfer type travelling over an observed zone, in which a plurality of pixels are acquired, which pixels are sampled in a staggered configuration, the method being characterized in that the line pitch and the column pitch of said staggered sampling are such that the image spectrum is situated mainly in a zone of the Fourier plane where the modulation transfer function is meaningful and where spectrum aliasing is limited.
