The seal provides a claw secured by mechanical connection to the upper support cap, a sealing lip extending obliquely from the claw in the direction of the upper bearing cap.

A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle includes a bearing having an upper annular bearing member and a lower annular bearing member configured for relative rotation. The lower annular bearing member has a radial surface and a resilient damper overmolded to the radial surface, which damper has a lower support surface configured to axially support an end coil of the suspension spring. The lower support surface has at least one high portion and at least one low portion that form a waveform, such as a square wave or a sinusoidal wave, in a peripheral direction.

A suspension thrust bearing including at least one rolling bearing forming an axial thrust bearing disposed on a lower cap is provided. The lower cap includes a body with an annular rolling bearing portion for a spring and a tubular portion including a bore in which a shock absorber bump stop is inserted. An axial contact surface is defined on the lower portion of the bore of the tubular portion against which the shock absorber bump stop when deformed exerts a radial force. The tubular portion includes a reinforcing insert located at the level of this axial contact surface.

A bearing assembly is for a mechanism including a housing and a rotatable shaft disposed within the housing. The bearing assembly includes a sleeve disposable within the housing and having an inner circumferential surface defining a bore and a radial surface extending radially inwardly from the inner surface. A bearing is disposed within the bore and includes inner and outer races and rolling elements disposed between the races, the inner race being coupleable with the shaft such that the shaft and the inner race rotate as a single unit.
