An irreversible adjustment mechanism comprising a casing, a pivotally-mounted lever urged resiliently towards a rest position, a pivotally-mounted intermediate member connected to the lever via a drive stage adapted to move the intermediate member only when the lever moves away from its rest position, a fixed ring, an outlet member co-operating with the ring to define hollow wedge-shaped spaces facing in opposite directions and receiving clamping bodies which are urged apart and which are flanked by two fingers that are part of the intermediate member. The outlet member is secured to a coupling shaft which is guided in rotation by a ring held by catches of the casing that pass through recesses in the inlet member while leaving a central portion of the inlet member visible, on which portion an actuating handle may be fixed.

Irreversible adjustment mechanism and a vehicle seat including such a mechanism

An adjustment mechanism comprising a pivoting transmission member which surrounds an inlet member having three outwardly-directed projections. Between the inlet member and the bearing surface there are placed three springs urging wedging bodies towards the projections of the inlet member, and three fixed fingers. One of the fingers is of width sufficient to come into contact with the corresponding wedging bodies to prevent these bodies from wedging against the corresponding projections when the inlet member is in its rest position, while the other two fingers are of width that is small enough for the corresponding wedging bodies to then wedge against the corresponding projections.

Adjustment mechanism

An irreversible adjustment mechanism comprising a pivoting lever resiliently assisted to a neutral position, an intermediate pivoting part connected to the lever by a driving stage adapted to move the intermediate part only when the lever moves away from its neutral position, a fixed collar, an output part delimiting with the collar wedge-shaped hollow spaces directed in opposite directions, and a locking stage ensuring an irreversible transmission between the intermediate part and the output part with a certain angular play of the intermediate part. The intermediate part is braked with a braking torque sufficient to lock the intermediate part in each return movement of the input part to its neutral position.

Irreversible adjustment mechanism

The invention relates to a locking device comprising a support plate, an annulus in contact with the support plate, a rotary cam housed inside the annulus, a rotary control member, and wheels mounted to move in running paths defined by the cam and the annulus and suitable for preventing the cam from moving in the absence of action taken on the control member. The device further comprises a closure ring having tabs which are secured to the support plate. The annulus, the support plate, and the closure ring are superposed on one another to form a closed housing in which the annulus is prevented from rotating.
