A device is provided for conveying additive manufacturing container/tray assemblies or additive manufacturing trays, the conveying device including at least two chambers for conveying an additive manufacturing container/tray assembly, each conveying chamber including at least one opening allowing the entry/exit of an additive manufacturing container/tray assembly, and each opening being provided with a door for closing the conveying chamber in a sealed manner.

Device for conveying additive manufacture container/plate assemblies

An additive-manufacturing facility and a method for managing a powder transported to and from additive-manufacturing machines of the facility are provided. According to the method, a volume of feedstock powder is stored, and the machines are automatically fed with powder from the volume of feedstock powder. For each machine, the powder fed to the machine undergoes at least one layering operation during an additive-manufacturing cycle, and excess powder in the layering operation is moved away and conveyed from the machine to the volume of feedstock powder. For each machine, recovered powder, which is derived from cleaning rough components produced by the machine, is reintroduced into the volume of feedstock powder. A same collection circuit is used to convey the excess powder and the recovered powder to the volume of feedstock powder.

Method for managing a powder in an additive manufacturing facility comprising a plurality of machines

The disclosure relates in particular to a machine for additive manufacturing by sintering or melting powder using an energy beam acting on a powder layer in a working zone, said machine comprising a device for layering said powder. The device is configured to distribute the powder that are able to travel over the working zone in order to distribute the powder in a layer having a final thickness suitable for additive manufacturing; transfer the powder to a distribution structure by gravity, and control the quantity of powder transferred to the distribution structure.
